Minimum protection, size up
I like to wear these minimalist pads when I'm at the rink or doing something where most people wouldn't wear pads at all. I'm a pretty nervous nelly. I had to size up from my suggested size on the size chart in order to be able to bend my knees at all without pain, and they're comfortable but not super secure. They can easily slide up or down. If you take a big fall, they might move around.
