my magic jack plus phone keeps breaking up when i talk. it in connected directly to my computer, what is the problem

The problem is it's a magic jack. You can buy a burner phone for 50 bucks that would be a ten million percent improvement. I seriously never thought I would ever hear anything more about magic crap again. Quite possibly one of the worst tech inventions ever. You most certainly get what you pay for. Kinda like with toilet paper, some are a more enjoyable user experience than others.

Can I call a cell phone in Haiti from a magic jack in Canada?

If you send the unit to someone in Haiti, and they using it (of course by plugging it into a computer) have high speed internet (broadband access). Unfortunately you are looking at it backwards. A person in Haiti who has magic jack can call someone who has a cellphone in Canada, but not vice versa.You can of course use magic jack to call the number but there will be fees associated to the call.

Will MJ work with Windows 7?

I have not tried it will Windows 7, it worked very well with Windows XP Pro. I am confident that MJ is not sensitive to the various flavors of Windows.
