Didn't work for my mouth. If you're needing it for that purpose you need to get one with an electrical cord

there is port for extra power in this device, do not use it as if you do the deice stops working... failed after a few days with two usbs ports plugged into it one for communication, and one for extra power both running from my laptop, device failed after 2 days using both ports.... The device will fail if you do...Now only good for charging devices, no communication..

This is a VERY good USB switch panel for this price point. Mine are working VERY well right now.

Works for me, switches arre a must! One question, there is a tiny socket like for an external wal-wart. NO "paperwork" came with, so I don't know what voltage. Guessing I would say around 4.5 volts DC, which is pretty common for phone chargers and mmost USB stuff these days, but if any of you have the "facts" I would appreciate a heads-up. An external power supply would eliminate any "drain" on my PC or laptop. Another plus would be the nice, flat USB cable that is included! Since my "main" PC ( with 8-usb ports ) died, this a budget friendly addition to by little world!

Love the toggleable switch, the bright blue light, and the horizontal USB ports that that vertically positioned. I have all my USB plugs labeled and I can easily see all the devices that I can switch on/off. For example, turn off my USB wireless headset dongle when I want to use my external speakers or switch on a mouse jiggler to keep my station awake. The extra-long cable is great too, the hub is not sitting right next to my laptop.

2 Stars because It was shipped without a necessary, included and advertised and non-standard interface cable. It did ship quickly, and as advertised. The good: o This device would probably have worked if it was shipped with the cable that should have been included. o No hassle return or replacement. It went back 30 minutes after I got it. o It was inexpensive, and if performed to spec was an excellent value. (Same item ordered directly from China was $6.00 cheaper but with 1-3 week delivery. o Has external Power supply connector. (I hear complaints that it does not charge their phones or power an external device. It does need an external supply for this. The bad: o The cable was not a standard cable, so I couldn't use one of the orphan cables I have laying around. I was dead in the water. I returned, as I needed something immediately. o The case seemed very "home user-ish" and not like it woyuld survive much tave back and forth to school with my kid, or on trips with me. o Toggle switches felt neither very rugged or positive acting. o Case was very sharp with no rounded edges. If I had more time, I would have ordered a replacement and actually tried to use this, giving an actual review of performance. I did not have that chance. I ended up with another model. Good luck.
