Great product
I love this light. Its affordable and so easy to set up. I bought another one already. It works with alexa and has so many colors. I use one for the porch light and it works great. I cant say enough how much better it was then i expected. Update: it's been down to -40 degrees and the bulb i use for rhe porch has had no problems i still love these lights. They work great with alexa. You do have to have it on 2g wifi. So if you have a dual router you just have to switch your phone before set up. It works great on my android also. Super easy and we love it. Would love a few more.

Super easy to install
Super easy to install. Just download app screw in bulb and follow directions. Colors are great. Not a great light to work or read by strictly ambiance lighting.

Light works, but the RGB is not very bright UPDATE
White light shines bright as a lamp light, but I wish the color lights were as bright. They are not very bright at allEDIT: App is discontinued so you cannot control the bulb anymore. One star.

Best bang for the buck.
Bought these for an older triple lamp to hook up to alexa. I use it as a light at night with the bulbs dimmed. Works great.I dont see how anyone had issues hooking theirs up. I did mine 1 at a time and each one fired up perfectly. Put my WiFi password into the app, and boom each one connected fine.Went into alexa, added the MiMoodz skill, and let alexa search. I can tell her to change the colors by voice command.I will admit, when it comes to the colors, you will lose a good amount of light intensity, but for 10$ a bulb I can't complain. Best bang for the buck I've gotten so far that I was willing to even try. There are cheaper ones on the market but most reviews I've watched it's scary poor quality. These are great. Big fan.

Functional, cheap but not perfect
The Mimoodz 6.5 watt smart LED bulb is just fine if you want one that doesn't require a hub and is one of the cheapest in the market for Alexa voice-controlled smart LED bulbs. They aren't outstanding though and the quality is a little questionable. This product can do what's expected of a smart LED such as changing colors, brightness, remote activation via Wifi or Internet, and, of course, voice activation through an Alexa-powered device. Setup is pretty straightforward. You simply plug it in the socket and it will keep blinking. Open the Mimoodz app on your phone, which will detect your device, and ask you for your Wifi password and connect it to your home network. Through the app, you can change the bulb's color, brightness and turn it on or off. You can also do these functions even when you're not at home using the phone app. What's also nice about these bulbs is that they are priced cheaper than similar bulbs than can change colors and does not require a separate hub that you have to buy separately. At their price point, competing vendors only have bulbs that don't change colors or you have to buy a hub to make them work. What's not too impressive though, for one, is the brightness of these devices. They can't light up an entire room. They're very promising at creating mood lighting, if you use two or more probably, but if you want to light up a living room, for example, you have to go for the 10.5 watt bulbs, which only changes from white to yellow. (I have those too but a separate review is in the works for them.)As for quality, which was a big factor for the 3-star rating, this product was a little disappointment. I bought two and had to return one of them because its green color light failed after a few days. The red and blue was working fine but it wouldn't change into its green hue and if you slide the "color changer" towards the green, it produced a totally different color. I kept one and so far it hasn't failed yet after almost a month. What's lacking in these devices is a timer function with which you can set times when you want them on or off. You can group devices by creating "Scenes" (The manual failed miserably explaining what "Scenes" were for. There were none and you just have to figure them out on your own.) If you want to use these so-called "Scenes" solely by telling Alexa, creating Scenes through the Mimoodz app is pointless because Alexa won't recognize them. If you want to create mood lighting, which is what Scenes are for basically, like if you want certain lights to turn on and have a certain hue, when you're about to watch TV or have dinner or whatever, and you just want to command Alexa to create that scene for you--you have to use the Alexa app's "Group" function to be able to do that because it doesn't see whatever "Scene" you've already created through the Mimoodz app.Changing colors on the Mimoodz app can sometimes be frustrating. Perhaps there's some connection lag, maybe, but at times when you want a certain color and you change the color by using a "color slider" on the app, the bulb doesn't change right away and you need to tap the slider again to see the color change. Also, if you have big fingers, like I do, you can't see exactly what color you're on top off, but maybe that's just me wanting to see precisely where I'm going when I change brightness or hues.I chose to go with this manufacturer initially because they had BR30 bulbs which I'm using for the kitchen. Like the 6.5-watt bulbs, I wish they were brighter, or that they had BR40s too. For now, the 6.5-watt bulb serves it's primary purpose for me which is an LED bulb than can be controlled through Alexa and is reasonably priced without requiring a separate hub. Little details about them can get frustrating sometimes but we'll see if this product holds up for an extended period of time and if improvements come along via software updates.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy the setup was for these
I was pleasantly surprised how easy the setup was for these! I do wish that they were a little whiter and brighter but for the price for colored LED smart bulbs without a hub needed, they’re GREAT!!!! Just a note, if your phone is connected to 5g on your WiFi, switch it to the non 5g connection and then set up the bulbs, lol. You have to be connected to the same EXACT WiFi connection to get them connected. 👍🏼

The app, is crapp
I bought 4 of these bulbs, 3 to use and one as a back up. The bulbs all light and as a white light, they work fine. The app to connect them to a network, however is crap.It is lacking in several ways:1-The app should have a wifi browser allowing you to connect to networks that are in range, not force you to type in the SSID2-Each bulb should have a bluetooth connection initially for set up.3-The interface needs improvement.I decided, the heck with it and just use them as white bulbs. No, I do not recommend these

Easy to set on my Android
The buld was easy to set up on my android using the Mimoodz app. But Alexa can't discover it yet.
