Proud to be an American
I'm currently a college student and was exploring my options to decorate my dorm. I wanted to buy a flag that I could hang on the wall above my bed and figured this would be a great addition to my room. When I received it, I was impressed by the quality, given the price paid. I was willing to be a bit of a premium for a flag Made in America (not a product of some Chinese sweatshop). I was definitely not let down. I almost expected a screen-print type flag or something to that tune; however this was not so. Each star and stripe were individually stitched on, and I get compliments from visitors all the time as to the quality of this flag. In length the flag takes up about the size of a queen bed which was perfect for me.5/5 stars for this flag, or should I say 50/50

Looks good, proved durable
When you take this flag out of the box, you will immediately notice that it just looks good - the colors are crisp, the fabric thick, the stitching clean. I hung it outside, where it has since endured 14 days' worth of heavy winds (30+ mph) in a two-month span and shows no signs of wear or fraying.I am very pleased with this flag's quality, especially considering it's a relatively non-standard size and selling at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Nice Flag
I received the flag in the mail last night to replace a flag that had fadded. I immediately hung the flag. Today I looked out of the window to admire the nice new flag and was shocked. I noticed the bottom hem (the end opposite the stars) was 1/4" inch off from the strips on the flag.Upon closer examination the end of the flag is turned over and hemmed. When you do this, one side of the flag the hem is off from the strips of the flag. Since I don't sew, I'm not sure how the manufacturer could fix this problem. Given that making flags is their business, I'm sure that they have thought about this. Perhaps if the hem were cut and sewn on (in lieu folded over), the problem would be corrected. It would seem so.I went to the Valley Forge Flag website, read their FAQs, and found that all sales are final. I also noted that the flag I replaced this one with had the same construction problem. On a positive note, the flag is American made - which is good. An American flag not made in America seems like a particularly frustrating proposition. The flag I purchased is "colorfast". According to the Valley Forge website. The flag should look good for a year.It would have been nice if the FAQs on the Valley Forge website addressed the hem situation - just so I would know what to expect.

Very nice flag that wears well.
I just received and installed this flag to replace an identical one that I hoisted on 8/9/20012. My flags fly 24/7 in all weather and I consider the 8 months plus that I got from the last one was better than I usually average--especially considering that it lasted through the winter and then some. I live in the country in central Illinois, so while it's not as windy as a coastal area, my anemometer shows sustained winds of over 30 MPH many days with a few gusts up to 50+ recorded. Snow, sleet, freezing rain this winter, too. The flag just started to fray on the fly end and rip between two stripes in that area. I try to never fly a tattered flag so I immediately replaced it, even though the colors were still almost as bright as the day that I first hoisted it. I hope that I get as good service from this one. I'll be interested to see if the colors hold up well to the strong summer sun.

Excellent durability and life
I purchased a similar nylon outdoor flag. It lasted about one year before it became woefully faded and tattered. After it was respectfully retired, I purchased this flag. This flag from Valley Forge is of excellent quality. After two years of 24/7 outdoor service, it it just now starting to look a little faded. A remarkable feat considering the extreme California summers that this flag endured. Additionally, I flew this flag at 45 degrees from my house wall. At that location the flag would brush against the siding and occasionally the roofing shingles. Despite the abrasive nature of those materials, after two years of exposure the leading edge of the flag is only slightly roughed up. Not noticeable unless closely inspected, and the hems and seams are all intact. The other inferior flag did not fare nearly so well.

Very well made!
Beautiful flag and very well made, I can tell it's going to last for years, unlike the one I just took down which was ragged and made in China. American made, fast shipping and made to last..... I def recommend this company!

Amazing quality flag.
Amazing . This flag has been flying 24/7 for the past year even through our all time record breaking winter. Force of habit I ordered a new flag to replace it before Memorial day. While it still looked fine from the ground, I assumed once I took it down that it would show the normal fraying and fading from flying for a year through all Mother Nature has to throw at it. I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG and wasted money on our annual replacement. Aside from the fabric being a little stiff, it still looks like brand new, even after flying atop a 30' pole on the top of a hill for a year.
