Will the s tool cut tile with the right blade?

Yes. They make tile blades. Haven't used them more than once. It's a learning process. Have to get the right vibration going. I believe they were Bosch or Fein. Hope this helps. Personally I think the 12 volt from Milwaukee is a better tool than this. My 18 burnt out on me. My 12 is still rocking. Heavy use.

Need to repair a facia corner. Will it cut an 8x2 facia board easily?

I have used mine for cutting and trimming most everything including a 2x4. You should have no problem cutting through a 2x8 but with two considerations. One, I would start with a new blade (the wider wood blade will work better) and some type of cutting guide to follow. For that large of a piece, the tool tends to wonder if your free-handing it.

Will the 2626-20 use the same battery as the 2697-22 M18 battery drill
