Anker products are the best and this Battery expansion is no exception!
The ability to double the capacity of my Anker power bank (CP1000) is fantastic. I love Anker products across the board and I am never disappointed with them. This battery hooked up with no issues and should really allow me to use my power bank as an emergency backup for several things in the house should the power go out. In the winter time this will help me keep the house warm and the food cold. And in the summer I use this for camping and to power things when I'm away from the grid. Doubling the capacity means even less worrying. And coupled with my solar panels I can keep things going hopefully for a lot longer. The battery is stylish and matches the power back. It fits right on top and both can be lifted together without too much issue (it might be heavy for some but I could handle it no problem). These are solidly built, and super high quality. The ten year life expectancy is also a huge plus. The Black Friday deal put this at under $400 and that was also a huge incentive to buy. I know Anker products are worth the price but a nearly half off deal made this a great value for the price. Highly recommend. Would be great for Van-Life folks, campers, survivalists and off the grid living.

Awesome Battery Expansion
Iโve been keeping an eye on the price of the Solix BP1000 for some time waiting for the price to drop-it finally dropped. Unit arrive at 88% charged. With the C1000 powered off and not connected to AC outlet, I plugged the expansion battery into the C1000 using the provided massive cable. Next, plugged the C1000 into AC outlet to charge. Immediately the C1000 powered on along with the expansion battery (audible โbeepโ heard confirming pairing with C1000). C1000 was at 96% and began charging. After 10+ minutes the C1000 was fully charged and the expansion battery began charging from 88% to full charge (which took approximately 15 minutes). Expansion batteries firmware was v.1.1.1 (out of the box), so no firmware update to expansion battery necessary. Others reviews reported issues with expansion battery charging after firmware update-so it seems Anker took care of this by updating the firmware before first boot by customer. By design, the expansion (when connected and powered on) will discharge first then battery on the C1000 will continue automatically. While some have shared their perspective of both the expansion battery and power station should discharge simultaneous to avoid potential harm/damage prolonging the life of the expansion battery-Anker ensured this wouldnโt be an issue. Ankers BMS (battery management system) is designed to avoid deep-cycle discharge once they reach 1% state of charge. This configuration is designed to prevent damage to batteries. However, โlong-termโ you should never leave the battery at 1%. After fully discharging expansion battery to 1% and you do not intend to use the expansion again for days, I would suggest recharging it to 100% expansion battery manual. You do have the option of disconnecting (by powering it off or disconnecting cable) the expansion battery and continue using the C1000 until it needs charging-then charge both expansion and C1000 both at once to recharge. The appearance is sleek, smooth and durable. As others echoed, I am not in love with the massive cable connecting both units together but considering the potential power draw it would be wise to have a cable thick enough to handle the wattage/current. I am really glad I purchased this expansion battery for the Anker C1000 to expand the watt hours from 1,056 to 2,112. I would purchase another expansion battery if needed but if I choose to expand beyond this setup, I will purchase the Anker Solix F3800 vs another BP1000 (mainly due to only one battery expansion can be attached at a time on the C1000). If your considering the purchase, wait for the price to drop and purchase it here or on ankersolix.com (which usually cheaper when its on sale on amazon).

A great way to expand your C1000 to 2,112 watt hours
Great way to extend the capability of your C1000. If youโre a functional nerd like I am, note that when connected to your C1000, the add-on battery will discharge first. When recharging, the main C1000 unit will recharge first. With the two batteries connected, your C1000 will provide 2,112 watt hours of power. Iโm very impressed with the entire setup. I have powered my Instant Pot pressure cooker at the same time as an induction burner, pulling nearly 1700 watts when both until weโre drawing power at the same time. The Anker never missed a beat. Cooking an entire family dinner with a pressure cooker and induction burner used about 50% of the expansion battery. Meaning if you were using it for cooking at camp or during a power outage, you can cook about 4 times, and for a small family or a couple this would result in a ton of food! Personally I have two Harbor Freight 100 watt solar panels connected together to recharge the unit and, here in sunny Nevada, Iโve literally never had to plug my Anker into the wall to recharge. My main point is a couple of affordable solar panels and some common sense about power usage and you could get by for weeks on an Anker C1000 with this expansion battery connected. Iโve found that making one cup of coffee with my K-cup machine uses about 3% of the expansion battery capacity. And, as your fridge only sips power occasionally (unless you open the door a LOT), it would keep your fridge running for a very long time. Practically indefinitely if you leave solar panels hooked up consistently in a sunny location. I also bought a 400 watt folding solar panel which charges it up even faster. It will take up to 600W input via solar.

Works like a champ
I added this to the Anker inverter for my ham shack, mostly to run a small A/C unit here in the summer off of solar panels on the roof. Works great. The iPhone app shows the percentage state of charge of both units. Note that by design, the expansion battery runs down first before power is taken from the main Anker unit batteries. (I read a comment where someone complained about this but it makes perfect sense - if you want to grab the main unit and go, you leave this partially charged expansion battery behind.)

Good addition to get to the C1000
Works as expected doubles the charging span of the see 1,000, but it's not designed to be a home backup except maybe during the power outage. This will be my backup for that or to go camping

Good addition for offgrid.
Bought this to add to my c1000 unit. Very sleek, excellent capacity, lightweight. Will have to update later for charging review. Solar charging and it's cloudy.

Works flawlessly
Works as designed I guess, it's doubled the usage of my Anker battery and works very well! Expensive but a good product links easily and gives a greater opportunity to use my own grown electricity supply! The downside is it'll take me a long time to break even๐
