ERA miGuard MGAW1 Wireless Wi-Fi Intruder Burglar Alarm System, White

I've had the system installed for a couple of weeks now and it is working fine. It is more capable than my old system and requires no monthly conract to operate. I am able to control it with a key fob or I can control it with my phone from anywhere and even check the system history. It sends me notifications if the system is triggered which unfortunately is too frequently. The previously mentioned key fob sits in my pocket with my other keys, this normally wouldn't be a problem, except this fob (unlike fobs from other manufacturers) doesn't have any kind of lock on it to disable the buttons or cover that slides over the buttons. This has resulted in me accidentally triggering the alarm so many times in recent days that I have been promoted to act by contacting the manufacturers about this issue and write this review to inform potential buyers about the problem.I was aware the key fob didn't have a lock before I brought the system but took a chance assuming it wouldn't be that much of a problem. But I was wrong. If you don't keep your fob in your pocket then this will not be an issue. However, this is where I keep my keys. It makes sense that the manufacturers of the system would expect you to have your fob on you while in the house because they have included a sos key on the fob. Many other fobs have locking features and I don't think it is too much to expect the same from these guys.Other than the fob issue, the system has been great. The app is basic and hopefully will be supported through the years so I can continue to use it with my phone. The app does have a couple of little user interface bugs and the instructions are extremely minimal, both for the app and system hardware installation.System hardware installation by the way, was very easy, you will need to get the drill out for the PIR sensors though. Each one requires 2 holes to be drilled.Overall, the system is great, but as with most alarms, practically every trigger is a false alarm.

All worked together easily. Can monitor, enable, disable remotely. If you have more than a small sized 3 bhk semi-detached, a repeater will be required, otherwise you will have to go around placing the controller in different places and try to get the sweet spot.For some reason, it does not work through my office wifi. Probably the app has a server located in some other country and my office wifi filters certain networks? (Motorola and Arlo works through same wifi)Works through mobile networks, hence usable.An email notification addition would have been useful rather than notification coming only through the app.

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent wifi alarm system, works with 2.4ghz wifi only though not 5g. Got this alarm system due to mobile network keep switching sim off on my old migaurd g5 system. This migaurd AW1 system is made by the same people, so all my migaurd accessories, fobs, rfid tags and outdoor siren box work with this wifi panel without problems. I bought mine somewhere else as it was cheaper, and came with an ip cam. For the price its an excellent alarm system.

Excelent product. Very easy to set up

It's a really easy to set up effective alarm. Adding extra components such as external siren is very simple. The app to control the alarm is very well thought out and all components are of good quality. The key fobs would be better if they have a safety cover to stop false triggers, but I use the app on my iPhone to set the alarm and again to disarm. For the price it's a real winner and much better than the Yale alarm it replaced. Highly recommend.
