Motor arrived early than expected and the battery came 4 weeks later. Vendor is very responsive and explain why the battery was going to be late. I have not bulid the kit completely because im waiting on some spacer for the bottom bracket to tightened the whole thing to the bike. As far as quality the motor feel heavy and well built, and the battery is in house so dont have to worry about quality problems. I would recommend this kit to anyone getting into buliding a e bike of there own, instead of buying a pre bulit one which can cost between $2,000 to $5,000. If you already have a bike you like and want a e bike i would recommend this but make sure the huge battery fit on frame first.

For this M625 kit--- The battery ships seperate and arrived over a week after the main kit arrived. The display / main computor head unit was the wrong one so it took them over two weeks to get the correct one. Then on many of these kits you need to extent the length of cables for data, signals to controls and brake levers. After many emails (that only get answered in the middle of the night) to someone who absolutely knows nothing, with many photos and descriptions of what you need I STILL don't know if they can supply extension cables, I have been working on this thing for about one month now. YOU can't get anyone on the phone-- there are no phone numbers for Bafang. This is a big company in Asia. Good luck with all this! I may need to tear this all off the bike and just forget it. Oct 2, over 4 weeks post purchase-NO reply about the cables needed so-- boxed the whole thing up and shipped it back. They don't offer return shipping money so I paid $111 via UPS. I also paid for 6 hours labor to put this kit on and then off the bike.

I am very happy with the power this kit put out. Getting all the wires run cleanly was the most difficult part (I used automotive split housing to facilitate that). The crank set does end up a little wide. Of the five levels of power assist only level 1 and 2 are useful on flat ground. Level 3,4, and 5 will power the bike faster than my gearing will let me maintain cadence. The hand throttle is great and fun at all speeds. In low gear this will pull the front wheel off the ground (barely) from a stop with just electric power. Fun fun fun.

I have to install the battery with a rack. So, it took me some extra time. Finally, got it setup and it is fun to ride in San Francisco hill area. Very powerful!After test ride it for a month, I upgraded to a 52T gear in front. Still powerful to drive it without issue at all.

This is the third battery and I was told Thursday I couldn't talk to a technician until Monday, I got a message telling me it's the throttle was sticking. Very poor customer support , still waiting again for this issue to be resolved, you see the BMS board is in the battery witch keeps failing, Don't know what other fault means.{So Disappointed With The Bafang M625 1000 watt Mid Drive Kit .} (Down Agian for the 4th time charging issues will be 3 to 4 weeks because battery has to be shipped to china !
