Pleasantly surprised! Exceeded my expectations for a low FODMAP protein powder ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Having used different protein powders for over a year now, I’m usually pretty picky when it comes to chalky textures and weird aftertastes. When my GI tract started acting up due to my chronic illnesses and dysautonomia, I had to transition to a strict low FODMAP diet. My expectations weren't super high because gut-friendly specialty powders can be a gamble, but this vanilla flavor completely blew me away. It’s incredibly creamy, has a great flavor, and mixes into my morning oatmeal perfectly without clumping. The limited, clean ingredient list means it doesn't irritate my sensitive stomach or trigger my histamine issues at all. It has easily become a safe food and a daily staple that helps me comfortably meet my protein goals. While it is definitely a little on the pricey side, the fact that it is genuinely gut-friendly and tastes this good makes it worth every penny. If you are on the fence because you have a sensitive stomach but are picky about texture, I highly recommend giving this a try. I’m officially a fan and will absolutely be repurchasing!

Great alternative for those with IBS/sensitive guts
Just got the vanilla and have been drinking it almost every day for two weeks now. As someone who used to drink various kinds of protein powders before getting IBS, this is a great alternative. Not sure what other people are talking about, but I use a mini blender and mix the scoop with 8oz of water. It mixes well with the blender. If you let the drink sit for some time, the powder can deposit in the bottom of the cup, but you just give it a swirl around and it mixes again. All protein powder drinks are going to have a chalky or gritty texture, so if you're not used to then maybe protein powders aren't for you. My gut is super sensitive and I have been able to tolerate this drink which is great. Taste wise it also doesn't taste bad or too sweet like some comments say; sometimes I add some vanilla drops but I mostly drink it as is. Worth a try for those who are looking to increase their protein and caloric intake.

No Stomach Upset! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
While the product is a bit chalky, I still give it a five star review since it has caused zero stomach upset while providing 20g of protein after using it for over one month. I have also purchased and enjoyed the chocolate flavor. I appreciate the limited ingredient recipe and that they use monk fruit for sweetener. There are no stomach irritating fibers added that so many protein powder seem to have. I would highly recommend this for vegans and vegetarians who have IBS or other G.I. issues and are looking to add additional protein to their diet. Note: I add this product to unsweetened almond milk in a food processor, along with various fruits and/or almond butter. My favorite combo for the vanilla flavor is half banana, 8oz of unsweetened almond milk, 1 tablespoon of almond butter- yum. And as a vegetarian, I get 20 g of protein or more with this combo.

Desperate times, essential nutrients
In a world of dangerous IBS triggers, this is now an essential pantry staple for me. It doesn't integrate well with just water, so I add 2 to 4 tablespoons of fat (peanut butter or pilsbury frosting) and it will still taste chalky and grainy, but it's essential nutrients that are easy to swallow and doesn't upset my stomach. I recently had a hip injury and am so thankful that this exists even if it doesn't taste as good as I wish. My body craves these funky protein shakes now and they help me keep healing.

NO BLOAT, NO PAIN, NO FARTING!
If you suffer from SIBO, need a protein drink that's dairy free (duh!) and own a nutribullet or a blender, try this one! I tried every whey protein on the market, and all gave me painful gas. They ALL contain enough lactose to cause symptoms. Thank God I found this one. Is it gritty? Well, if you just toss it in a jar with some water and shake it, yes. But if you add ice and blend well in a blender or nutribullet, it's very palatable. One reviewer said they'd rather have the symptoms because it was gritty. I call BS on that faux sufferer! All plant proteins have some degree of grit. Seriously, I've tried everything and this is the only protein drink I can tolerate.

You may experience issues.
We purchased TumLove because of its claim of no stomach/digestive issues. My wife has gluten and lactose intolerance. We used it in smoothies, acai bowls, and peanut butter protein balls. We encountered bloating, gas, and flatulence. We thought maybe our bodies would adjust by to no avail. Drank plenty of water as well. We will say the flavor was good and it did not taste gritty. We won't be purchasing this again. If you do be forewarned you may have issues.

Burning throat
The taste was fine. It was a little gritty. But it burned my throat. With every swallow I got a burning sensation in my throat. It subsided quickly. My gut was upset.

Delicious, Clean, and Worth the Price (If You Use It Right)
I think this protein powder is genuinely delicious. I’ve seen people mention a chalky texture, but I have to wonder what they’re mixing it with. I blend mine with half a banana, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, a tablespoon of almond butter, macadamia milk, a little water, and one scoop of the powder—and it’s consistently smooth and really enjoyable. I’ve even had friends try it, and they’ve all said the same. If you’re just mixing it with water, I can understand why it might not taste great. But in a proper smoothie, it’s excellent. Yes, it’s expensive—but that reflects the quality of the ingredients. I actually looked for more affordable alternatives and didn’t find anything that matched it. For me, it’s worth it.
