Very bright.
I installed this on a 14' jon boat. A 1 1/4" hole saw on my drill made a perfect hole for the base to slip into, 3 screws to secure it to the deck, then 2 butt connectors to finish the job. The LED lamp inside is pretty bright. Can't attest to the 1NM rating but its bright enough to be seen. The base is plastic with a stainless-steel cover and a rubber cover for the hole. The pole is stainless-steel with plastic twist lock, and light fixture. The wire is good sized wire but not tinned copper. I cut the soldered ends off and stripped the shielding off to find copper wire, so make sure to use heat shrink marine connectors. Other than the wire this light is solid and built to last years.

Sturdy and Easy to install, very bright
The LEDs are brighter and look like is well-manufactured product. The pins for the connection are very sturdy. It was very simple to install and looks great on the boat. We are very happy with the quality of the product and the looks.

Nice and bright!
Where it mounts into the deck of the Bow it is made from a piece of plastic covered with a chrome-like metal cover. I would have preferred that the base material that you have to make a hole in the deck of the bow for mounting be made out of solid stainless steel or solid rubber or nylon rather than plastic but we'll see how well it holds up. There is a rubber cap that goes over the opening when the light is removed. The light is nice and bright and it inserts easily into the plastic fixture, then there's a plastic collar that you turn to tighten to lock it in place. I did notice that the ends of the wires were tinned which is a sign of a well-manufactured product. This indicates to me that the manufacturer was quality-conscious.

Quality Stainless, Fits My Existing Base
My existing insertable bow navigation light was a standard incandescent bulb, and I was looking for an LED replacement. I figured I would try this model from Wave One, due to the advertised stainless construction. The light appears constructed of high quality stainless steel, and the base has a stainless cover to match. On the bottom of the fixture, the female connectors also appear to be stainless steel (this is an upgrade, as I've typically seen these be the first thing to corrode on my old lights). The male posts in the bottom of the base appear to be brass.I went down to the dock and inserted the light into the base on my skiff. It fit just fine. It definitely improves the viewpoint, particularly from the port side, however it appears like I'm going to need an even taller light to get the light comfortably above my trolling motor.I have no reliability/durability concerns with this light, I just notice that I'll need a taller one to be compliant with coast guard regulations.

Great 12" Bow Light
Got this to replace a worn-out 20 year old light on my boat. The LEDs are brighter than the old bulb, and it plugs right in to my existing bow socket. There's nothing wrong with the socket it came with, I will install it next winter during the off season.Overall, it's a good LED bow light, and definitely worth the money.

Secure, sturdy mounting
I like this light a lot. It's winter in Michigan so it's not actually installed yet. I tested it indoors. My photos aren't the best but it's bright. Wires ends are pre-tinned. I'm not sure of the gauge but plenty big enough for LEDs with low draw.I love the mount. You just align the screw with the channel and then push it in, then push down the cover and do a quarter turn. I've had similar lights that you had to do screw down and sand always gets in the mechanism making it difficult to connect. As long as this is mounted in a place with adequate underlying rigidity it feels like it will be rock solid. (Hardware gripes: You'll probably want longer screws; I will replace mine with longer, higher grade screws. It lacks a gasket for under the mount which is a little annoying because cutting your own gaskets is a nuisance.)The pins for the connection are very sturdy. Two pin connections are fairly standard for marine lighting and some are flimsy. These feel like they will hold up to being connected and disconnected frequently. Tried to show in photo but it didn't work well. I really like this design.

Perfect
Perfect for my small 14ft boat, This 12inches tall navigation light helps with keeping your small craft visible specially when lake has waves or big boats create wake. It was very simple to install and run electric to it.

Perfect for a small rowboat or paddle. Could be used on a larger boat too.
Really nice light for our 16 foot wooden Brockway style skiff. Lifts out of the mount for travel or low areas. The mount is permanent and runs on the 12v system most boats, cars, etc use for accessories. Looks nice, not cheap built, nice light for the money.
