I'm pretty sure it works, cause my plants are still alive! I like the idea of the Timed-release because I don't always have the time to add the 'every-time' fertilizer. So this stuff is good.

Most organic fertilizers take weeks and weeks to produce results. This took about 2 weeks. My trees are glowing and happy. I can’t figure out what it is made of but it works amazing, better than rapeseed cakes by far. I also supplement with an organic liquid fertilizer once a week(fish emulsion and kelp extract). I’ve always used that, but the bonsai gold has really shown signs of great vigor and overall health.

Works good but not for indoor use

I love this stuff. I use it for everything, from bonsai specimens to indoor houseplants. If you have a small number of plants, this stuff can last a long time. If you have a large number of plants, I'd suggest the larger bag. The pellets are a pyramidal shape that be pressed into the soil and they stay put nicely. It's a light fertilizer that is made of organic components, so you will have a hard time over-fertilizing and damaging your plants. The instructions are on the bag, just follow the recommended dosages. It's easy to tell when the pellets need to be replaced as they break down completely. This is a go-to fertilizer for bonsai enthusiasts and now I understand why. My plants love this stuff. This is great as an everyday slow release fertilizer. Definitely will purchase again.

Addendum: Two month review. I think my tree is addicted to these pellets, It starts looking sad after 4 weeks and then greens up after I give it a fresh hit of pellets. We repotted this old Ficus bonsai tree a week ago in Premium Bonsai Soil Mix and added Bonsai Fertilizer Pellets to the mixture. The tree was losing all of it's leaves (see before picture). We knew it was an important plant to the person who gave it to us to take care of while he was out of the country and my plants rarely do poorly. I assumed the tree would recover but was stunned at how fast it turned around. We started seeing new growth after 48 hours and it's growing rapidly now. The after picture was taken 7 days later. The third photo was taken three weeks later.
