This is an excellent reference for those who want to strengthen their sewing skills. Very user/ friendly, well organized , lots of helpful photographs. Although it was used, the book was gently used. Glad I was able to get it through Amazon Prime.

I LOVE this book! I’m just now getting back into sewing and it’s been YEARS since I have done any. This book has become my reference bible! It is very well laid out, with amazing step by step photos for any and everything you may need to know while sewing. From tools, to using patterns, how to measure, fabric & thread types and uses, and EVERY machine/hand stitch needed, where and when to use them and HOW to do them! AMAZING! MUST HAVE BOOK FOR ANYONE WHO SEWS!

The illustrations and instructions are easy to follow. There's s great index!

Great info source. You can look up terms or how to actually complete certain steps! Love this book. It’s a great reference.

The illustrations are clear, but the instructions are general techniques and specific. This is a good book to teach you the basic and the correct way to complete your project.

Was always able to use patterns without much change. Over the years, while not having time to sew, the body changed! This has helpful advice as I work with selection of patterns, how to adjust them, how to make my newly sewn garments look best on my new body. May also make clothes for a relative who has trouble with ready-to-wear.

Great pictures, easy to follow.

I wanted a sewing book to gift to my granddaughter with the sewing machine I plan to give her (her first). This is almost like an illustrated textbook. It should be a good resource for her for years to come. I also bought one for my own library to have as a reference book.
