This is perfect for my son who collects gemstones. Now they are organized and not scattered across his dresser. The drawers come out, so he can easily take them out to view or move around.

its nice that each compartment is indevidualized and is also a really good price. the one thing i dont like is that you cant see all the rocks at once. it would be cool if it opened up like a fishing box.

Our daughter LOVES her rocks... LOVES them. Recently, as you can see, she's also taken to turning them into little art projects. Which is adorable and we totally encourage the creativity.... but lord help that child if we step on another rock. Thankfully, there are things like this great little acrylic display case that will help tame the rock hoard.With 56 open slots, this really does do a great job of compacting the rocks that were once strewn across the top of the dresser. It's designed for smaller stones so pay attention to the dimensions so you won't find out after the fact yours won't fit. We'll likely grab similar with bigger slots for some of her other things but this has worked perfect so far for a lot of them. If you need to you can sorta cram them in and it'll move the divider a couple millimeters if necessary.Drawers work great and you can use the top of it to stack another one or put a few larger stones on display.

It will only hold smaller rock specimens. The compartments are lined with a soft velvety fabric. The description states this is geared towards a child's collection. It is perfect for a child's collection of rocks, gems, etc.
