Was able to replace my broken key. Good quality.

There’s one major problem for many 2009 Carolla, I got the key cut however it cannot start my car. This is because the original key has an anti theft mechanism which is programmed to respond to a transponder in the original metal key. There’s really no way around paying the $200+ at the dealership to get another working key.

The neighbor broke her spare key and wanted to replace it. After looking online for her we decided that this was a good replacement at a fraction of the cost. This key is a perfect fit for her 2011 Toyota Venza. It doesn't come with the guts but that is ok since we had them intact. We were able to cut the key just like you cut a house key. After doing that I removed a little chip that that OEM key has and was able to start the car no problem. I put the guts in and it worked. No need to pay hundreds of dollars for a dealer key.Note: There are instructions on what to move from the OEM key to this key. That make it super easy to make the key work. It is really important that the chip is ported over from the old key so the new one can work.
