The Waykar dehumidifier arrived in perfect condition. Waykar uses excellent packaging materials. An easy to follow instruction booklet is included. The unit's digital control panel is simple to operate. The unit is quiet yet powerful. The design of the unit is sleek and good looking. I've used it in our 1500 sq ft basement and in our 2000 sq ft upper level. In both areas, the unit draws the humidity out fast. It is easy to remove and empty the water tank.A great value for my money. I am very pleased with my purchase.

J’ai acheté le déshumidificateur Waykar 80 «pints» modèle YDZ-80. Il a été commandé le 30 septembre et livré le 2 octobre. Bravo Amazon!!!!!. J’ai attendu au 3 octobre pour le mettre en marche pour m’assurer que le fluide caloporteur soit bien à sa place. Ce déshumidificateur remplace un vieux Sunbeam. Déjà en le déballant je m’aperçois que bien qu’il soit de la même taille, ce Waykar est au moins 30% moins lourd. Bravo Waykar!!!.Depuis qu’il a été mis en marche, l’appareil a réussi à abaisser le taux d’humidité de la maison (3500) pi2 de 66% à 49% en 3 jours et le maintenir entre 45% et 50% avec un minimum d’énergie. Quelle différence fait cet appareil «EnergyStar». Photo 1.Le panneau de contrôle rend l’appareil très simple à utiliser (photo 2). On peut même le faire fonctionner sur un horaire programmé pour être utilisé la nuit quand le coût de l’électricité est plus faible. Combiné avec la fonction arrêt-départ automatique quand le niveau d’humidité requis est atteint, on utilise une énergie minimale pour le maintien d’un taux d’humidité confortable.L’option d’un drainage continu de l’eau est aussi très «cool» (photo 3-4). Plus besoin de surveiller le niveau d’eau accumulé dans le bac et de le vider régulièrementDe plus, le filtre est très accessible pour le nettoyage (photo 5).Donc, jusqu’à maintenant je suis très satisfait du rendement de l’appareil.

I received the Waykar YDZ80 80 Pints 2025 Energy Star Dehumidifier as a replacement for a different, defective unit, to be used in my home basement.Right out of the box, I liked this unit quite a bit. It has a very sturdy drain hose that has a tight seal to the drain plug in the back of the unit.It’s on wheels which makes it easy to maneuver, but it doesn’t randomly roll.After leaving the unit upright for 24 hours, as directed in the User Guide, I snaked the drain hose to my sump pump drain in my basement and plugged it in. I chose Continuous Mode for non-stop drainage.It’s working great! After only a few minutes, I can already feel a difference in the humidity level in my basement. It’s not leaking and the unit itself is easy to set up and is very quiet.Would definitely recommend!

We purchased this little unit to keep our basement dry during humid weather and it has done an excellent job pulling moisture from the air without the high energy cost of running the air conditioner all day. It is compact and easy to move and very simple to switch between the drain hose and internal water bucket as needed. The controls are also very intuitive and flexible so we can target a specific humidity percentage or run it overnight on timer mode with the press of a button.Unfortunately, after a year of reliable service our unit started icing over instead of draining but I reached out to customer service and they responded right away with diagnostic questions to troubleshoot the unit and determine if it needed to be replaced under their free extended warranty program. I was already impressed with the unit's efficiency and ease of use, but reliable and responsive customer service is the best reason to buy from Waykar!

Great product. I’ve had our Waykar dehumidifier (80 pint) for 2 years. We have it running in our living room. Our house is 3100 sq foot with high ceilings and very open in the middle of the house. Living in Texas, you do whatever you can to keep your house cooler and removing the humidity from the area indoors helps to achieve that goal (also helps your A/C). In the summer we need to empty the bin 3-4 times a day. It’s pretty much running constantly. During the winter, we empty it maybe once every day or two. Yes, it makes noise when running and you hear it but it’s now white noise to us. Yes, you will get mold build-up and it will blow stinky smells into the air. You fix that by not being lazy and clean the interior of the bin periodically and not let water sit in it for too long. Also vacuum the back off and not let dust, etc build up. It will help it last longer. We don’t dump the water down a drain. We use the water to help water our outside plants. Handy.I’m on here writing a review because we are thinking of moving this one upstairs and getting a larger size for downstairs and figured I’d write a review since it’s been going strong for two years (purchased July 2024). Get it!
