Excellent taste & texture, low cal, and you can trust the ingredients
I have had dozens of different types and flavors of whey and this is one of my favorites. It mixes well, has a light taste and texture, and comes from a company that clearly wants to do more than just sell you whey. The Stevia does make it rather sweet (I normally buy unsweetened whey), but I find it to be enjoyable. I have had problems with lactose in other powders, and this one sits very nicely with me. The amount of calories per gram of protein is also competitively very low and Whey Isolate is the first ingredient on the list. There is also something special about a brand that cares to make their protein jug bio-degradable. Sure, you can recycle the giant tubs you get from other brands, but it takes a lot of energy to do it, so why not avoid the problem entirely if you can?I also really appreciate how BodyLogix has made grass-fed, hormone-free whey affordable. I drink a protein shake or two every day, and until recently it hadn't occurred to me that most brands do NOT tell you where they source their milk. So that could mean material contaminants, abused animals, poorly treated farmers... you name it.Muscle Milk famously ran into trouble years back due to the presence of heavy metals in their whey. What most people don't know is that protein powder is not considered a food, nor is it considered a medicine, so it is not regulated by the FDA. It is obviously not in the interest of brands to sell you poison, but this means quality control is in the hands of those who aim to make a profit. Many brands like Optimum Nutrition, Body Logix and True Nutrition (to name a few) claim to use independent inspectors to regularly assure safe and clean product, but one could very safely assume that none of these brands are really held liable to anything. So if my whey says it's sourced from New Zealand where ALL milk is required to be a certain grade, then I have that much less to be paranoid about. It also makes me happy to know that my whey isn't coming from the hideously deformed cows pumped full of bovine growth hormone (Google image search 'bgh udder' if you want to see what I mean). BGH won't really make it into what we consume (it binds to fats which are almost completely removed from Whey), but I feel morally obligated to avoid buying hormone-enhanced meats and dairy whenever I can. So, again, good for BodyLogix for supporting happy cows :)---Edit: There was some concern regarding lack of specifics in the sourcing, natural ingredients, and 3rd party testing. I emailed BodyLogix and this was their reply:Thank you so much for your message and we're happy to hear you love our protein as much as we do. Sorry if anything appeared cloak and dagger with some previous posts or messages. Our flavor system is nothing that needs to be hidden and it is simply a combination of natural vanilla and cocoa extracts. Even cocoa flavor for example uses vanilla as is also the case in any milk chocolate. Vanilla is a key component of the chocolate flavor as odd as that sounds. All our ingredients have Certificate of Analysis that have been performed at independent laboratories as well as Non-GMO certification attestations. We are in the process of completing our NSF certification which provides independent, third party verification of our claims as well as certification from the Non-GMO project. Both these initiatives will be complete by Q4, 2014.Like you we care about our health and stand behind our products 100%. We use them each and every day along with our families.

A great COMPLETE PROTEIN to add to your diet... after a small learning curve =)
I ordered both the Decadent Chocolate and the Unflavored versions. I had hoped to use the Unflavored version to add to meals to increase their protein content. Many of you who are more familiar with whey powder than I probably already knew this wouldn't turn out well. Live and learn, right? =) Nevertheless, I still recommend this whey powder. I purchased THIS whey powder because I like the conscientiousness with which it is created. Despite the claim of the new recyclable cardboard container, both of mine came in the plastic container. I suspect this is just a matter of using up old inventory before the new cardboard jars start shipping out. (Receiving a plastic container actually impressed me because it meant that the distributor is properly rotating their inventory!)Neither flavor dissolves well in a shaker cup with cold milk, but that has been my experience with every whey protein powder I've tried, so I didn't bother taking off stars for that. I just "chew" the clumps as I encounter them and move on with my life. It's not unpleasant. The dry powder has a somewhat moist, clumpy consistency, not at all free-flowing like powdered coffee creamer. After doing a little research, what I do now to get more protein in my life, is make up small batches of the powder + coffee creamer/half-and-half/milk. I add a level scoop of the powder to 1 cup of liquid sugar-free coffee creamer, whisk the CRAP out of it to eliminate as many lumps as possible, and add it to my coffee. Don't just stir with a spoon; that does almost nothing to get it to combine with the liquid. Also, don't just add it to hot coffee like you would powdered creamer because whey powder is designed to dissolve better in cold liquids (such that it dissolves at all, LOL).As mentioned, I originally wanted to add the unflavored version to meals.... I should have tasted the powder before doing that. LOL It has a vaguely sweet taste like powdered milk... not sweet, per se, but the HINT of sweetness from the lactose, if that makes sense). ***Do NOT add it to tuna salad. It's disgusting. LOL*** That said, it WOULD be an okay addition to creamy dishes like Beef Stroganoff, alfredo sauce, and similar things (whisk it with a bit of cold liquid BEFORE adding it to the dish). For a protein powder to add to non-creamy dishes, I would recommend pea protein.I hope this review helped some of you. I am not following a strict keto or paleo eating plan, but AM trying to increase protein in my diet while decreasing useless empty starches. Also, for those of you who are ovo-lacto vegetarians (but not vegan), whey protein is a COMPLETE protein and contains all nine of the essential amino acids that the human body cannot produce on its own, so it's another good way to make sure you get enough protein in your diet.

Almost great
Clean simple ingredients. Mostly "natural." And competitive pricing. However there is a concerning warning label "warning: cancer and reproductive harm..." most likely a component, ingredient, packaging or processing contains or produces the chemicalI contacted the manufacturer for clarification. No response. So I'll use a competitor's brand next time.
