4 Inch / 102mm Hole Saw for Wood, Plastic Board, Ceiling,Drywall, and Metal Sheet - HSS Bi-Metal Hole Cutter with Pilot Drill Bit

This guy decided he was going to move his laundry room, and everything that entails. Part of that project includes drilling a 4” hole in the roof to place the new dryer vent. Talk about nervous, I was! So on one of my many trips to the big box store, I priced out the cost of a 4 1/4” hole saw to use with my drill. Sticker shock to say the least. Went on line and found this one at a good price and bought one. It worked perfectly. Hooked right up to my drill, sharp and durable. I drilled through shingles and the wood underneath. Went through in about 45 seconds, clean and smooth hole. I’ll probably never use one this big again but I’ve got it if I do and I’m sure it will work just as nice next time.

Excellent value. Great quality and works flawlessly. I used it to cut a 4” diameter hole into the ceiling of my closet for LED downlighting and had to cut through plaster and lath. The saw cut accurately and quickly. I would highly recommend it.

I meant to order the 4 1/8" hole saw but 4* comes up in the search and I clicked before fully conforming I had the right size. That is on me. With that said, it still was used to cut a 4" hole through plaster & latch walls and then through vinyl siding, a layer of wood lap siding with a plywood backing. The drill got not a few times so I had to let it cool down. But it did the job I paid it to do and that was cost effective enough if I never use it again. But there is still plenty of life left in it. To get through the vinyl siding without tearing it I ran the drill in reverse. This really can't be done because the hole saw screws into the arbor clockwise and ru..ing in reverse backed the saw off the arbor. I we t slow instead and got theough the vinyl without damaging it. Since.i ordered.thw wrong size, I had to go back in and rock the saw in the hole to help re.it out big enough to fit my dryer tube through. But again, it got the job done and would have been even better with the correct size. All in all this a great value when you only need to use it for a few jobs. I'm not a professional building the Taj Mahal ya know. My dryer vent is installed and I'm a happy owner of this hole saw.
