From the deep-pocket carry to the actual blade, this is easily my favorite EDC. The clip isn't overly tight, so it's easy to clip and unclip while still being secure. I own a couple of non-deep-pocket carry EDC knives, but I don't carry them as much as I carry this one from Remette. This knife has, by far, my favorite liner lock. It's so sturdy when the blade is deployed, and it's so smooth when I'm folding it closed. The flipper tab is pretty tight, which I actually like because it's not easily opened should it accidentally fall into the wrong hands (like smaller children). But because of the tightness, it opens really quickly, and it just feels cool. The thumb studs are great too, but I find myself using the flipper tab more. The G10 handle is also really nice to hold and feels great in the hand. It doesn't feel like it's going to slip out by any means. The blade is a beautiful, matte silver-ish color that looks both beefy and sleek. It was also very sharp out of the box, which I think we can all appreciate. The blade isn't thick or thin -- it looks like it can handle some heavier-duty uses, though. Not long ago, I let someone cut off some excess rubber from their tire after they did donuts in the mountain roads, but they used it too close to the ground and dug the tip of the blade straight into the asphalt. I don't think he expected it to glide through the rubber like it did (honestly, I don't think I was ready either... it was that strong). I'm bummed that my knife got messed up, but I'm glad it came in handy. My EDC knives function both as a practical tool and as a precautionary, self-defense tool (that I hope I'll never have to use, for that purpose). It's cool when I get to use them for their intended purposes.

Got this for my husband, who is a knife enthusiast, and he absolutely loves it! It's sharp, durable, lightweight, and easy to carry--basically everything you want in a good everyday knife. It cuts really well and folds smoothly, and the overall build feels solid and reliable. He's pretty particular about his knives, so the face that he was impressed says a lot. It also has a nice feel in hand without being bulky or heavy. Excellent buy all around--definitely a solid buy.

Great knife so far the only reason it’s not 5stars it is a little smaller than what I was wanting but over all it’s well built has a sturdy clip and fits the pocket well over all it is a good looking knife it is very sharp open assented blade works well nice and smooth

Surprisingly good little EDC. Sharp out of the box, solid lock up with the liner lock, blade even down the center when closed. Nice grips for the handle scales. Solid all around knife with a great price. Easy to sharpen. Can't say to the heat treat quality or the blade steel, but so far it has performed just fine.

VERY pleasantly surprised, I was not expecting to like this so much! I honestly do not think it is possible to overstate the quality and value-per-dollar displayed by this knife! When looking for a knife I was primarily interested in getting my hands on an everyday pocketknife that had the same feeling and functionality of my trusty Milwaukee FastBack Button Lock utility knife. As you can see by the last picture in my review, I tried A LOT of knives, with many of them being from Civivi, which has, in my opinion, some of the best knives out there. This knife stands out among all of them, and if it had a button lock, this would be the perfect knife. And even without a button lock, I still tend to grab this knife over others when I start my day due to how nice it is to fidget with (especially when opening with a reverse-flick). PROS: • QUALITY – You can tell by thickness of the steel, the machining of the liner and D10 scales, the shape, and even the shaping of the D10 material around the bolts (see picture with drawn red circle), that this knife was made with a lot of thought and attention to detail that maximizes its comfort and handling, all while not compromising the quality of construction or the overall aesthetics. • Buttery smooth action - No matter how you open it. • Fidget Friendly - You can use the flipper tab, the thumb stud, or the blade indentation when reverse opening (see video). The indentation on the blade is placed PERFECTLY to be able to reverse open the knife. • Pocket Clip - Reversible Deep-Carry with extra bolts on the opposite side of the knife, so there are no gaps in the G10 handle. • Liner Lock: The liner lock is very solid, and it is comfortable to use. • Aesthetics: Looks better than the Amazon photos. CONS: • The ONLY thing that I can come up with regarding negatives on this knife is the absence of a button lock, and that is entirely preference, so it really doesn’t count. For the price, I’m not sure you could find better quality or attention to detail. Just buy it, you won’t regret it. Well done, Remmete!

For the money I've been very happy with Remette knives. As many of you know I'm very much in to the steel side of knives. Steel/heat treat is whats important to me in a knife. This D2 felt well done and feels like it's been run a little harder then typical China D2 and that's a good thing. The heat treat its self feels great as it responded to the sharpening stones exactly how I expect properly heat treated steel to respond. I haven't cut test it yet but I fully expect it to finish the test in the upper range of where China d2 finishes. I have pretty small hands and this knife fits very well for me with no hot spots and is just an overall solid little edc budget knife. What I really like about it is the cutting geometry, it's quite thin behind the edge. It was about 8 thousandths behind the edge on the factory edge and after I sharpened it to 17 degrees per side it was 10 thousandths behind the edge. So super slicey geometry! If you like slicey knives this one will do you well! I really like the g10 they used to, if you are familiar with spyderco normal g10 that's on like the pm2/para3/manix it's very much like that g10. It's action is good be it the flipper, thumb studs or the fuller/milled out section (my fav way to open it is via the fuller with a reverse flick) and is easily reverse flicked, thumb flicked and the flipper. For your money your getting really good cutting geometry, solid build quality and good egros for smaller hands. If you have huge hands you may not like this knife but for normal size hands and smaller female hands this is a comfortable and well designed pocket knife. For the money you will not be disappointed, remette has been doing good models and I'm happy with every one I've gotten. Remette is also involved in the community and always in the live streams on youtube and they listen to the community feedback. That is something that I respect very much about them, they listen to what the community wants and they consistently put out good models. In a nutshell, you are getting a solid EDC knife for your 40ish bucks shipped.

Good quality knife but knocking off two stars because the pocket clip is garbage. Zero spring tension and bent the first time I put it in my pocket.

UPDATE - 3/27/24 5 STARS Remette reached out to me after my previous 2 star review below and apologized for my experience with the knife. They told me that they had recently changed the design of the knife to fix both issues I had experienced (see original review below). They asked if I would like a refund or if they could send me the revised version to see if it met my satisfaction. I decided to take a look at the new version that they claimed to have revised. Wow...they weren't kidding about the revisions. They did exactly what my original review called for. They added jimping to the flipper tab (see pic) for a better grip and retuned the detent to perfection. This thing snaps open now and has much better shutting detent as well...almost a drop shut. And in comparing the 2 knives side by side they cut down about 1/16th of an inch off the handle right at the liner lock access point (see pic) to make liner lock access much better. Disengaging the liner lock is much easier now. They nailed it! I wish they would have sent me another black one instead of a green one but that would be the only thing I could complain about now. ORIGINAL REVIEW - 3/8/24 2 STARS This is a pretty good effort by Remette...it checks most of the boxes. Fit and finish are pretty good...blade is perfectly centered. Thumb studs are great...very grippy and placed perfectly. Not quite drop shut action but a shake shut. Pocket clip is pretty good...deep carry and easy in and out. It's a good looking knife with a unique blade shape. Price was great. I have 2 issues with it. While the liner lockup is great, access to it to disengage is terrible. It's not raised or jimped in any way. I have to really dig my thumb in there to get at it. After awhile my thumb started to get raw. My other problem is that the detent is too weak. It's ok for a thumb stud deployment because the thumb studs are done so well that they provide great leverage...but it's too weak for the flipper tab. You really have to be very firm with the flipper tab or the blade will not fully deploy. Also the flipper tab is small and there's no jimping on it so it's difficult to get a good grip. Put some jimping on the flipper tab and move it forward of the pivot or make it bigger to get some better leverage and maybe the detent would be ok. I also wish it had a captive pivot but it's as expected at that price point. I also have the Remette Handfeel which is comparable to this one being a thumb stud and flipper tab deployment and priced similarly. The Handfeel is a much better knife. The detent is perfect, the action is sublime, and liner lock access is better. I'd choose the Handfeel over this Rhino all day.
