Works to keep hands warm
I'm an outdoorsy person and haven't used these as liners yet. They are pretty thick and don't fit into the gloves I have currently, though admittedly the gloves are already a pretty snug. The material is not-scratchy, as is expected of Merino wool.I have been using them for typing. I get cold easily, especially my extremities when I'm not moving around very much. I've started doing computer work much more often which leaves me with cold hands and feet. These gloves do keep my hands warm so I can keep typing without having to get up and move around to warm myself up. As I mentioned, they are a bit thick so it slows my typing down a bit, however for me it's a trade-off between typing with cold and stiff fingers vs chunky gloves.Sometimes when I'm staying somewhere cold, I put these on overnight and the warmth does in fact keep me comfortable enough to sleep.I generally wash these on gentle cycle, or I hand wash them. Since they're wool I lay them out to dry. After about 3 months of use they're starting to pill, but for the most part they're still intact, and the amount of pilling isn't unusual for the quality of this wool.

Best fingerless gloves ever!
I rarely write reviews--only when something is bad enough to make me annoyed, or good enough that it totally impresses me. These gloves fall in the latter category.I am a huge fan of fingerless gloves and have owned many over the years. These are far and away the best. The others I've owned either don't have much wool in them (and are therefore not very warm), or if they have a high wool content, the wool sheds or pills up.These are great. Very warm, and they go a ways up your wrist which helps, and the wool doesn't pill or shed. I have worn these these hunting in 40 degree rainy weather, to the point where I can wring the water water out of them, and they've still kept my hands warm. I've bought two pairs just this winter.

Comfortable and Warm
I bought this to play guitar and banjo outside on cold days. They work really well for this purpose. However, I wasn't careful and they stuck to the velcro on my jacket and pulled a bit. This is obviously user error and doesn't bother me, but it may be relevant if you are actually using them to exercise. 4/5 stars because is anyone really going to give a pair of gloves a five star rating? I do recommend and would buy again.

Warm and well made, but not for typing
I have small hands and these are too thick to allow my fingers the flexibilty to type. I am making constant typo errors when wearing. They fit perfect, are well finished, but the thickness of the wool knit is in line with only keeping fingers warm. I would suggest a thinner type of wool in order to type, if that is what you are after. I would give 5 stars just for quality, but not for versatility.

Good for cold hands while gaming
During the winter, my hands always get super cold while using my computer. Whether I'm writing, browsing the web, or gaming, it was starting to bother me. These gloves help a lot with that, though my fingertips still get cold since they're fingerless gloves. However, at least my entire hand and the rest of my fingers are fine now.Pros:-Fits true to size. I have small hands, but the Small size fit perfectly-Do not shrink in the wash, and can go in the drier-Comfortable (not scratchy or irritating)-Can still use the keyboard and mouse just fine for gaming (even end-game MMO content)-Easy to use smart devices with the fingertips uncovered-Easy to get on and offCons:-Fingertips still get cold since they don't cover them (obviously, but I'll still include it)

Money well spent and saved with these gloves
I was skeptical about the quality and warmth of a budget friendly pair of merino gloves, but I figured I would give them a try. I was looking at some other higher priced gloves from some well known hunting brands and decided to save the coin and try these instead. I would have a hard believing that these don't perform just as well as the higher priced alternatives. I predominately wore these through out archery season in KS and had zero complaints. They kept the wind from completely freezing my hands but of course your finger tips will get cold since there is no fabric. I will likely be getting multiple pairs to have on hand.
