Nice Camera for the price
Just finished installing this on my 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup. Installation went well. I decided to make a bracket for the camera so it would be above the license plate( see photo). Running the cable from the back of the truck to the dash area inside was the most tedious part of the job. I also had to remove parts of the dash to run the wires. I did cut and splice the cable because it was way too long. The wires are very tiny so I soldered the splice and used shrink tubing. By cutting the cable it also made it easier to run the cable, without one connector, from the truck rear to the dash. I used an “add-a-circuit” fuse tap(available from Amazon) to get 12v power from the in-dash fuse panel. I chose a circuit that came on when the key was engaged.I chose the camera based on the small size of the camera, the larger monitor, and some of the reviews. However, the reviews I read said the setup had guidelines which it does not. I believe many of the reviews for this one are for different cameras; so beware. I wanted a backup camera for when we backup with our slide-in camper on the truck. Guidelines help greatly. Well, I had some 1/8” red pinstriping tape that I cut to make my own guidelines to show the back and sides of the truck(see photo). To do this I used 3 lengths of lumber placed as shown in the photo. Then I turned on the camera and placed the the pinstripping tape on the monitor over the wood. The monitor has two zoom levels (4:3 and 16:7). I don’t know what the numbers mean except one level is wider than the other.I chose the narrower (4:3)The documentation that comes with this explains fairly well how to hook it up but doesn’t explain the features.Overall I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it. Only time will tell about its longevity. I gave it four stars because the writeup is poor, documentation is poor, and the many user reviews that don’t apply to what I received.

Appears to be of descent quality for the price
First off, my 4-star rating will stand until I've had an opportunity to actually put it use. I just finished installation today & my only regret is I didn't wait and purchase it on July 16th...... I'd have saved $30 !!!!I purchased the CW-1-1 model ( 1-camera) & installed it on my slide in truck camper. This is my second back-up camera so I had some experience with not only how to install it but how I wanted it to work. I DID NOT want it connected to the "reverse" power supply. I wanted a constant power source that could be turned on & off at will. I purchased the "ONLINE LED STORE 10Ft 12 VDC 10A Heavy Duty Cigarette Lighter Adapter (On/Off Switch + POSITIVE TRIGGERED Momentary Switch)" & an additional length of video cable from "eRapta", both sellers here on Amazon. I highly recommend the switch be purchased from the above seller since reviews for other switches here on Amazon indicated a loose fitting to the 12 volt receptacle & this one is very tight fitting. Also, if you need to cut and splice any cables as I have, use caution when stripping the wires & use heat shrink wire connectors. The connectors I already had & they are much easier than crimping the small wires used with this type of 4-pin video cable. With this method of installation I can turn the camera system on & off as needed. I sometimes like to have it on when driving down the highway & wish to see whats going on behind me. ( just making sure my boat is still there )

Waiting on customer service. ......🕛🕧🕐🕜🕒🕓
I would love to have the opportunity to leave good feedback, as most people have, but I'm not lucking out with customer service like everyone else is. I've read many reviews on this product because I rely on reviews to help me find the right product for me. And that's what I thought I did here, but to no avail. I received my package promptly and the product looks like it is made of quality made materials (hence the 2 stars), that is except the bracket that mounts the screen to the inside of my vehicle. That arrived in a couple of pieces. But I wasn't worried about it because according to many reviews, all you have to do is send them an email and wait a little while for a reply. I sent an email fully equipped with pictures for their viewing pleasure, and was sure that I'd hear back within a few hours. Well, it's been a couple of days now and still no reply. I now see that trusting reviews alone isn't a good method, or maybe I just slipped through the cracks. I'm not real happy with the instructions either. I'm glad that I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, because it just shows a single child like drawing with no real explanation. I will be updating my review soon. Hopefully I'll be able to sing a different tune, and maybe add a star or two... We'll see.5/23/18Well, it's been over a week now and I made several attempts to contact customer service. Nobody has called or emailed me back. I did install the product on my travel trailer anyway, and gave them another star due to how easy it was to install, and because the product works very well. Just have an issue with the broken bracket that holds the monitor in my towing vehicle, and absolutely NO customer support. Fortunately I have something that can hold the monitor for me, I'm just put off by the lack of customer support. I probably won't give them anymore of my business.
