– Danodia Foods Whole Grain Finger Millet (Ragi Grain), 450g

I’ve tasted most of the “Siridhanya” (positive) millet varieties available in the United Kingdom, with mixed results due to quality issues. The “Siridhanya” millet varieties, or “positive” varieties, include: Foxtail millet, Little millet, Kodo millet, Barnyard millet, and Browntop millet. Every day, I eat porridge made from these millet grains on a rotating basis. It should be noted that each variety of millet has specific properties and should not be mixed together. I’m thrilled to have stumbled upon the Danodia brand and found it available on Amazon UK. I was surprised by the quality of their: no dust, no sand, no foreign matter—just unpolished, unparboiled, and fresh grains. The packaging is resealable and contains a packet of silica (desiccant) as well as another packet of oxygen absorber. For those who might be wondering if this product is organic, I’d say that even though it isn’t labeled as such on the packaging, in India, millet cultivation requires no fertilizer. The price is certainly high, but the quality of the product lives up to it. I hope Danodia will offer a Siridhanya bundle at a very attractive price, including the five “positive” varieties of millet that, according to the extensive scientific research, are the only ones to offer a high dietary fiber content, generally ranging from 8% to 12.5%. Because of this high fiber content, they’re often associated with supporting the body’s natural healing processes and managing lifestyle-related chronic diseases.

The quality seemed fine, but the finger millet grains were much smaller than I expected. I bought them for a specific purpose, and unfortunately they were too tiny for my intended use. They may still be suitable for other uses, but they didn’t work for what I needed.

I have ordered this product couple of times, each time it arrived next day. The packaging was beautifully done, and the bag was inside another cellphone bag, so even if it was left outside the contents would not get wet. I love the product and shall definitely buy again.
