1883 Syrup Pump for 1 Liter Glass Bottles – Coffee Syrup Dispenser Pump Replacement, Precise Portion Control for 1883 Coffee & Cocktail Syrups (Pack of 1)

First, this pump is only for the GLASS bottles. Second, you should expect to have to rinse all bottle pumps with hot water every once in a while because sugar naturally crystallizes when it dries. Third, plastic pumps such as these should not be reused more than two or three times as they can harbor bacteria in the soft material. That being said, this pump is perfectly adequate and fits the GLASS 1883 bottles perfectly. It is not designed to twist shut tightly. It simply slides into the bottle and creates a snug seal like a stopper. Last, I will advise that the proper way to install a syrup pump into a brand new syrup bottle is to depress the pump and while holding it down, slide it into the bottle while slowly releasing the pump to displace the syrup into the pump rather than out of the bottle.

BEWARE!! I ordered twice because the description says it is compatible with the 1L glass bottles. The dispenser received are clearly not compatible because it is too wide and the manufacturer label says “1L PET bottles”. Whoever is selling these has them labeled wrong with their barcode as “compatible with 1 liter glass bottles”. While not returnable, I was able to get a refund because of the mislabeled items. I was hoping it was a one time mistake and tried ordering again, but same results. I would not order from this seller if you have the glass bottles.

THIS FITS 1 Liter GLASS 1883 BOTTLES! I was skeptical based on other reviews if this pump would fit or not, and even more skeptical when I saw the pump itself (the top is HUGE and my past barista experience equates large pumps with SAUCE bottles and not SYRUP bottles). But it does fit and it works great! It does not screw on to the top - it just “plunges” into and around the top of the bottle. Wish it was a little cheaper but, I have a pump that fits and works so I’m overall happy :)

This pump does NOT fit the 1883 GLASS syrup bottle. Fits the PLASTIC bottle extremely well. I don't understand why this item is still on here being sold to so many customers. But love the syrup.

Works great! I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but fits perfectly on my glass 1883 bottle. Note: I was twisting the punp forever trying to get it to open to no avail. Before putting the pump into the syrup, you have to hold the base while twisting the pump for it to open.

This pump did NOT for the 1883 glass syrup bottle. Amazon states that you can't return the item even if it's defective -- so here we are. Just don't buy it. Waste of money. I don't understand that I can't return an item that is falsely advertised.

Great fit

Disappointing. They do NOT fit the GLASS BOTTLE like stated in the description. I tried to read past the comments saying the same thing and hoped they just got a bad batch, but nope, they really don’t fit. So don’t even waste your time buying them.

If you love Terrys chocolate orange than this syrup is for you! I ordered a hot chocolate in a local cafe and I enjoyed it that much, I asked what brand of syrup they had used, I came home, searched Amazon, ordered it and delivered the following day. I can now make my own gorgeous hot chocolate at home. The syrup tastes amazing, large bottle and an easy clean pump was included. Highly recommend

Pump doesn't fit 1L glass bottles, I tried, you can't return it.

Very sturdy and good quality, been using it for a few months without issues. The functionality is also great, very easy to use too, I use it with plastic bottle and all you have to do is simply press onto the bottle, taking them off is not a problem either. Good value for money considering the quality, wouldn’t hesitate to buy.

This pump fits into the bottle like a wine stopper. It’s a good pump and fits well onto the 1883 syrup bottles however, you do have to press down quite firmly when you’re installing it on the bottle. You need to press down until it clicks in place. This installation might be a bit difficult for people with mobility issues, but once it’s in it feels sturdy. I can’t speak about leakage as I have the bottle standing upright, and wouldn’t use a pump if I was planning on storing the bottle lying down. The cleaning instructions are easy to understand, the pump is simple to use once installed, it looks nice on the kitchen counter, and I imagine it’ll be simple to change to a new bottle once the one I have is finished. Would recommend.
