Can any humans hear it?

No, the catwatch clicks and illuminates when any movement is detected and the light goes out when there id nothing within its detection area. Only anomals can hear the alarm sound.

does it affect hedgehogs

The company that make these do a range of models targeted at cats or foxes(dogs) and their packaging says they don't affect birds or other wildlife.

Will my rabbit be able to hear it? I want the garden to be bird and rabbit friendly, just no cats

It is not guaranteed that a rabbit will not be affected. The device is definitely bird safe.

Does this keep squirrels away, as I don't want to deterthem?

We dont have any squirrels in my area. Understand the sound emitted is aimed at cats only. Foxes need a different sound so may be same for squirrels.
