Tiffen67BPM14 67mm Black Pro-Mist 1/4 Filter

Just as expected, it arrived sooner than I thought it would. It comes within a small plastic Tiffen box. No damage or traces of previous usage on the package or on the filter whatsoever. It works great with my 35mm lens, especially when shooting at night with wider apertures, works like magic on highlights and skintones. I am in love. It is an awesome product. Highly recommend! Keep in mind that if you want to use it for longer lenses, you should go for something a bit stronger, like 1/2 or full 1. :)

If you are reading this, you know how nice the results from a Pro-Mist filter are. So whats stopping you? I bought the 82mm to fit on a 77mm lens. I simply bought a step-up ring to connect then, OK, so now I can't use my lens hood but I got a matte-box. And a 4 x 4 filter was way too expensive.The filter is great. The seller was perfect. Item arrived a day early. Very happy.

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist is an amazing piece of kit. Well known in the film industry but a bit of a secret weapon in stills photography.The 1/4 Black Pro-Mist slightly mutes contrast and gives a pleasing halation to light sources. I enjoy shooting street photography at night with these filters.The effect gets more pronounced at longer focal lengths so be aware that if you shoot longer than 50mm you may want to consider the 1/8 filter.

Some people like this effect, some people don't even notice it. But what many people here like to point out, is that the product looks like it is used and/or dirty.Well, this is exactly how it works - the glass has some ND particles inside it and they may appear like oil and dust that you cannot remove no matter how long you rub it with your lens wipes. This is exactly what creates this bloomy effect.And yes, IMO it's still overpriced and overrated, but sometimes it can come in handy when you try to convince a client (most likely a woman of a certain age) that they look good on camera.

I think I got lucky because my 1/4 Tiffen filter was in fact new and unopened (although this shouldn't be an issue/gamble at all in the first place!). Upon close inspection the filter has a very subtle dark matrix that's viewable at an angle. A/Bing on a 35mm Nikkor prime lens there is a subtle diffusion/softening difference which is exactly what I wanted. Looking forward to trying this out in a night time environment.

Picked this up since diffusion filters seem to be getting a lot of attention. Decided to go with Tiffen since they are one of the industry standards. I compared the 1/4 against the 1/8 and decided on the 1/4 since you get more of an obvious effect. Be warned, shooting backlit sun will wash out pretty much all the contrast, so use with caution. I like to use it to create softer highlight roll off against lightbulbs

Countless reviews out there and on youtube, mine becomes irrelevant. Those looking for this effect will get what they need!

Just be cautious of the condition you buy in. I bought my 62mm filter in “like new” condition for £55. The filter itself is immaculate but the boxing was pretty damaged. A good deal though as I was struggling to find it second hand for less than £80!

Quando testei ele, notei que a imagem ficava muito embaçada, limpei com o produto e continuou. Porém eu não tinha limpado direito, meu colega limpou e a imagem ficou linda! Recomendo!

Been using Tiffen Black Pro Mist for 15+ years now, and it never disappoints! Other companies have now come out with their own version but it never comes close to these filters!

Love this filter. Using it both for stills and video.While other filters are more “in your face”, this one does the job quite subtly. The effect is not gimmicky where I would tire of the look after a few shoots. It’s now permanently on my go-to lens (24-70 2.8).I shot some 4K video with it and it did a wonderful job of blending in skin imperfections as well as softening the extreme highlights and shadows. The much sought after halation effect is also subtle. It’s there but doesn’t scream for attention.Today I finished a family portrait session with it and felt that the female face required almost no skin retouching. I’m glad a sprung for the extra money for the Tiffen product.

El producto es maravilloso, mi eleccion fue el de 1/4 de intensidad crea un matizado de luces bastante agradable y suave . Hay que sobre exponer un paso o dos para notarse con mas intensidad. El material es bueno y se siente de muy buena calidad.

Hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Lichter sehen gleich viel gemütlicher und schönes aus.
