A Tangible Way To Quantify the Intangibles of Life.
Get the Book! It amazed me to experience the pace and ease in which the books descriptions and exercises presented rapid and fundamental changes that I only previously sensed needed addressing in my life. Well, now I know how to clear up my thinking, the way I react to my thoughts, and how I respond to them outwardly. This was priceless.

This book took me by surprise. Amazing content.
To let you know why I think you might want to read this book, let me sum up what I learned from it, and how its lessons have affected me over the last few weeks.First, a little background: Without getting into detail, I've struggled with getting happiness in my life for a large number of years. I chased the things that I thought would make me happy, to include money, material items, business success, romantic companionships, and even short but repeated dives into spiritual exploration. None of what I found seemed to deliver the happiness I was looking for. (Early in this book the author tells a similar story. I connected with that.)Upon reading this book, however, it's like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders (or more accurately my mind), and I can say (for the last few weeks at least) I feel a great deal more happiness about life than I ever have before. So why did this book affect me so greatly? I think the magic of this book (over all the others I've read) is connected with the fact it showed me how my own mind worked. That's something no other book has ever done for me. It explained why my mind does what it does, using science and funny/interesting stories to do so, and it explained how my mind creates the things that steal my happiness. Then it proceeded to tell me how I can tweak some things in my mind to get my mind to create more happiness for me. Early in the book, the author used a great Captain Obvious mechanism to tell me that my happiness always comes from within my own mind (when it comes), and that all the stuff that inhibits my happiness comes from within my own mind also. I never thought about it like that. And after I read about how it all worked, everything about my personal happiness potential became so clear. From there, after being presented the details of how this works in my own mind, like he was looking into my head in real time and telling me how it all worked as I saw it working, I started seeing my mind in a way that indeed put me into the control room of my mind (explained in the book) just like the author promised, and I was able to start to take control of my mind like I have never experienced before. There's a bit of science that explains why the brain is actually wired to help you get into this same space. I can't really explain it as well as the author, but I will testify that it works, or has for the last few weeks, and seems to be getting stronger as I go along. Here are the changes I've experienced in the last few weeks: Stuff at work doesn't bug me anymore. Stuff at home doesn't bug me anymore. Things online and in the news don't bother me anymore. My relationship with my wife has sparked (in multiple ways), and my teenagers are much easier to deal with (I can now see into their minds too which is helping me understand them). I think I'm generally more pleasurable to be around, because people are asking me what I've changed and where my new sense of humor is coming from. (I've always had it. I guess I just never felt like sharing openly.) I've even dumped 5 pounds because maybe I'm not stress eating as much? I attribute all of these changes to the fact I can now see my mind working and understand why it was trying to create all that negative noise for me. I never knew understanding my own mind could change my life this much. If this lasts, I will be forever grateful. If you're on the fence, you should read this book. Over the last few weeks, because of the simple little shift of being able to see my mind like I never have before, my life has totally changed. In the book the author teases a Volume II, which kinda pissed me off at the time (you want me to read TWO books now?), but now I can't wait to read it because of what this book has provided me to be able to reduce the inner noise that I was never able to put my finger on, but which this author explains fully, and in plain terms that are easy for me to understand. So if there's more, I wanna know.Well done. Well written. Very relatable. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Good for teens
This book was recommended to me so I read it. I would recommend it for someone who is not really familiar with the concepts of Buddhism or mindfulness, or a teenager. Very accessible writing style with numerous anecdotes.

Life Changer!
I love Sean’s sense of humor as he brings to life the science of how to permanently and drastically take hold of your emotions in life. I have used the contexts of this book countless times with my kids to great effect. I have also bought this book for so many people it’s ridiculous. I can’t wait for his next book. A highly recommended read.

The only book you need.
This is the only happiness book that has ever gone backwards into the brain to rewire and give you control of your happiness…anytime…anywhere… PERIOD.If you have stumbled upon this review because (like you) this is where I go to make my final decision to buy or pass on a Amazon product then you have found a truly hidden gem my friend. This is a buy, through and through! The only reason anyone could ever submit a negative review about the information in this book is that their ego is just too powerful for them to grasp the mind bending concepts of this book. Don’t be one of them, ignore the complainers and treat yourself to being the happiest you that you will ever know. I promise you, you will not regret it.And to address the specifics of the negative reviews…-Repetition is the point of effective neuroplasticity.-yes he swears and cusses, it shows he’s just an everyday human.-yes he promotes his other book and this one within the pages but the reviews fail to mention Sean Webb is SELF published and does not have a promotion team. He lets the book speak for itself which says a lot about the powerful content.

Profound Insight into Human Nature
Read this book and your life may change for ever. Sean Webb explains in the clearest possible way how our emotions work and how our minds can use this understanding in the service of our happiness and the happiness of others. The understanding has to be lived and experienced on a day to day basis so it needs to practiced in order to be effective. (Hence the emphasis on hacking.) If you have arrived at a point in your life where you are willing to face up to the possibility that the only obstacle in the way of your happiness might be your own BS, this book tells you what to do.

A few interesting tidbits.
If you're interested in reading everything you can on Enlightenment then I guess I would recommend this book. It does drag on a bit and should be edited down so that there doesn't have to be two volumes. There are a lot more books out there that would be more helpful for reaching enlightenment, such as those form Adyashanti, but this book does do a good job in looking at this subject from a more scientific viewpoint. It's always nice to be able to gleam a few more tidbits of knowledge from a book, just not too fun when it drags on a bit too long though.
