VEMER VN319000 model TMC 30/24 DIN-rail mounting safety transformer for continuous service 230V/12-24V. Color Grey

I recently purchased the VEMER VN319000 TMC 30/24 Continuous Operation Transformer for a project requiring a stable 12-24V power supply, and it has not disappointed. The 230V to 12-24V output range is perfect for powering my system, providing just the right amount of power at 30 VA. One of the standout features of this transformer is its continuous operation. It has been running non-stop since I installed it and has proven to be reliable, with no issues with overheating or performance dips. The Unifi Protect G4 Doorbell is by far and away the best consumer video doorbell on the market, and with no ongoing subscription costs, beats the heck out of Ring, Nest & Eufy offerings. Unifi Protect depends upon local video storage - I much prefer this model over the 'someone else's computer' cloud-approach. As of right now though it's targeted at the US market and for US doorbell chime voltages (16 to 24v AC) so requires a bit of thought to work in the UK. Not wanting to miss out here in the UK, and having just moved into a new house which happily had a mains supply near the door from a 30 year old faulty alarm system, I was able to chase in a cable and fused spur switch and fit a 5/6-way DIN enclosure and a Honeywell D117 electromechanical chime box. There are limited 240v mains transformer options available that would fit this setup but the Vemer 30/24 can supply both 24v AC and 12v AC, so along with an AC relay, I was able to supply the Unifi Protect G4 doorbell with 24v AC and the chime box with 12v AC. Everything works a treat, no sign of the 'instant smoke' referred to by other reviewers; one has to suspect user error in those cases though manufacturing faults could also explain it I suppose... though surely they are tested before leaving the factory? Mine seems perfect however and has been happily supplying my video doorbell for a week or more with no problems. A bit pricey but recommended and it should last for years.

Purchased in December 2023. Used for Google Doorbell with a separate Honeywell door chimer. Worked perfect for a few years and has now died April 2026. Both outputs provide zero volts. Not sure what failed in the unit but I had hoped it would last longer.

Had this for 9 months powering a Eufy E340 doorbell, it popped a circuit breaker which I reset. I didn't realise it was this until the battery on the doorbell started dropping. Must of had a major internal failure. The bulges on the plastic are through internal heat, the label has lifted with the plastic. This is the transformer recommended by Eufy, need to look for an alternative.

Used it to power my eufy doorbell camera so that I wont have to keep changing batteries. This one so far seems to work as it always keeps my doorbell charged.

Only one of my doorbells requires 24 VAC with 10VA...... I have two.... originally I used my legacy PSU which worked ok at daytime.... but at night, when the IR illumination came on.... it ran red hot.... and when operating the either doorbell they rebooted..... I then swapped to a 16VAC 8VA I had spare... this worked just... but also ran hot.... upgrading to this 24 VAC 30VA PSU meant that both video doorbells run fine, at night with IR illumination powered, and the PSU itself is barely delectably warm... which means it is well within it capability. To operate a video doorbell properly with IR illumination (plus continuous ONVIF recording to NVR) you require a properly sized AC PSU. There is no way a wire free battery powered one could even function with the same level of performance.

Despues de recibir un transformador que parece que venia defectuoso y ser cambiado sin problemas por Amazon, el nuevo funciona a las mil maravillas. Lo uso para alimentar unas electrovalvulas y tiene potencia mas que suficiente para 5 funcionando simultaneamente. Hay que fijarse bien y comprar este modelo (que esta pensado para un funcionamiento continuo) y no el otro que hay de la misma marca que es para un uso discontinuo. Las conexiones son fuertes y da la sensacion de estar muy bien construida y aislada. ACTUALIZACION Agosto 2024: ¡Lleva 5 años funcionando sin problemas!
