Rowenta VU2640F0 Turbo Silence 1 Table Fan

I use the fan during warmer months on the quiet setting. It blows well on the quiet setting, plenty on setting 1 and a lot on setting 2.The fan is significantly quieter than fans that have not been specifically designed with noise in mind. There is a very low level hum, only just perceivable if you actively listen to the fan.They should sell this in the UK, which would save me £30 on delivery.The only minor negative point is that there is a "moon" light on the base of the fan that illuminates when operating in the quiet mode. I have covered this as I'm a grown man and do not need a night light (anymore.)In short:- Good at being a fan- It is quiet

I suffer from Crohn’s disease and I often feel sick a lot and I find that having a fan on me works really well. The reason I purchased this one was because I was staying in a hotel and this was the fan in the room. It’s not too noisy, it cools down nicely in hot weather and it has 4 modes including a night mode which is helpful. I’m also a lover of white noise so this is my best friend! Would 100% recommend and it’s well worth the price.

I’ve always loved Rowenta, so I needed to buy the table one and it is HUGE! I love it and I totally recommend it.

I bought one of these in the hopes that it is as quiet as an old Woolworths desktop fan I've had for the last 20+ years and perfect for night sleeping.On Night Silent mode the motor has virtually the same quiet noise output (perfect) although you can hear that the Rowenta motor is doing it with zero effort. The one big difference between the two fans is that the Rowenta has a higher CFM airflow.This thing is breezy.This makes it louder if you sit closer just from the wind noise, but it's fan(sic)tastic. Love itIt deserves 5*, but I dropped one star because it came with a Euro plug, so I had to chop it and stick a UK plug on it.It doesn't stop the fan from being great, but I had to wait for a couple of days to get a plug before I could use it,Being picky.... the power flex is a bit on the short side too.

Had a Dyson for a super quiet fan, this is better on it's silent mode. Pushes more air and quieter.

It's a good fan - rather large and although it is quieter than other fans - it is not silent. If you are expecting silence you will be disappointed - easy to sleep through however - BUT there is an annoying white light which illuminates during night mode which lights up the whole room - kind of defeats the object of getting a decent nights sleep - I have covered the light with a square of black insulation tape however and it's fine. Also worth noting that it comes with a European 2 prong plug which will need chopping off and replacing with a UK socket, although I'd use a shaver adaptor before you take the original plug off to see if you like the fan in case you want a refund!

This is a powerful fan that shifts a lot of air on the fast and turbo settings. However, I paid the premium price for a fan to operate quietly in the bedroom. It did at first - there was just a gentle white-noise from the airflow going thru the blades - a little bit like light rainfall. However after 2 or 3 days use in the recent heatwave on higher speeds, the fan has developed an annoying high-pitched whine. It's not deafening, but sufficient to keep you awake in the early hours. I was hoping the Rowenta brand would mean that it was engineered to a high standard. It is not. When the fan blade is placed on the spindle, the fan revolves centrally. As soon as the securing knob is tightened up, it pushes the blades off centre so it spins with a slight wobble. Someone reviewing the same Rowenta fan on a stand has observed the same thing. I suspect that running slightly off centre on high speeds has damaged the bearings, hence the whine. Disappointed, and I can't send it back because I replaced the 2 pin plug with a proper UK 3 pin.

No entiendo las reseñas negativas, solo hace ruido en el modo turbo que por cierto es muy potente, aquello parece que va a despegar, en modo silent varia entre 45 y 50 db, (menos que un susurro) sinceramente creo que los que lo consideran "ruidoso" esperan una máquina que trabaje en silencio absoluto y el ruido no viene del motor, lo hacen las aspas al mover el viento, parece bastante sólido y trabaja mejor que cualquier ventilador que haya tenido anteriormente, no tengo ninguna queja aparte del precio, espero que me dure un mínimo de 3 años.

Solido, esteticamente gradevole e ben costruito, già alla prima velocità muove un buon flusso d'aria che diventa ottimo alla seconda. La modalità turbo per le mie esigenze è quasi esagerata.Favolosa la modalità notte dove il rumore del motorino sparisce completamente per lasciare spazio solo al fruscio delle 5 pale. A 2,5 metri di distanza il flusso d'aria è perfettamente percettibile, il rumore invece è quasi sparito.Se con un normale ventilatore era difficile sia addormentarsi che programmarlo (tramite una presa con timer) per accendersi durante il sonno senza che mi svegliasse, con questo Rowenta posso tranquillamente fare entrambe le cose senza che il rumore mi disturbi minimamente.Non costa poco, ma sono soldi ben spesi, perchè è davvero molto silenzioso.

5* pour ce ventilateur Rowenta !65 cm de hauteur totale (pied + ventilo), 30 cm de diamètre pour le pied, et 50 cm de diamètre pour le seul ventilateur.Par ailleurs, le fil mesure 1,50m de longueur.2 voyants lumineux indiquant les modes « silence » et « turbo ».1 bouton variateur 5 positions : arrêt, puissances 1et 2, puissances « turbo » et « silence ».L’assemblage est facile, et une fois monté l’ensemble est stable et semble solide.Une poignée ergonomique permet un déplacement aisé du ventilateur.Très joli design, ensemble de bon goût, bien plus joli dans la réalité que sur les photos !Les couleurs sont sympas : le socle est en plastique blanc et noir, la grille du ventilateur est en métal, et les 5 pales sont en plastique bleu (elles sont quasiment invisibles lorsqu’elles tournent).Le ventilateur est inclinable manuellement vers le haut ou vers le bas.De plus, grâce à un bouton poussoir situé à l’arrière, on peut soit recevoir de l’air à un endroit précis, soit enclencher une oscillation gauche/droite qui permet de balayer un rayon plus large.Ce ventilateur reste relativement silencieux quelque soit la puissance choisie.Le bruit est un peu plus intense en position « Turbo », mais cela n’est pas gênant, ni pour écouter la télé ou de la musique, ni pour bavarder… Et ça souffle fort !Les positions 1 et 2 sont les plus couramment utilisées. Elles apportent un maximum de confort tant en terme sonore qu’en terme de fraîcheur.En position « silence », le ventilateur est à peine audible, ce qui permet de travailler ou de dormir dans le calme tout en profitant d’une très agréable fraîcheur ambiante.Idéal dans une chambre ou dans une pièce à vivre, il rafraîchit parfaitement une surface de 25/30m². Pas besoin d’avoir le nez dessus ou de le mettre à pleine puissance pour en ressentir les bienfaits, même par temps de forte chaleur.Pour ceux qui pourraient être gênés la nuit par l’intensité du témoin lumineux du mode « silence », il suffit de coller une petite pastille de couleur foncée sur le témoin, et le problème est réglé Bref, j’ai profité pleinement de ce ventilateur durant l’été, et je le recommande à 200%.J’ai d’ailleurs attendu la fin de la saison estivale et la baisse du prix, pour en acheter 3 autres !C’est vraiment un très bon produit, même si, comme toujours, on aimerait trouver encore mieux, encore plus puissant, encore plus silencieux etc… Tout ça pour moins cher…

Dieser Tischventilator namens VU2640F0 von Rowenta scheint wohl der größere Bruder des bekannteren VU2630 zu sein und ist nicht so oft zu finden. Vielleicht ist er primär für d. deutschen Markt (noch) nicht vorgesehen.Im Gegensatz zum VU2630 hat dieses Modell einen Rotordurchmesser von 40 cm und eine elektrische Leistung von 70 W .Die Bedienungsanleitung ist mehrsprachig incl. deutsch.Der leichtgängige Drehschalter ist 4-stufig: Stufe1, Stufe2, "TurboBoost" und "SilentNight"Bei der Anwahl von "TurboBoost" und "SilentNight" leuchtet das entsprechende große runde Symbol, das sich hinter dem Drehschalter richtig vertikales Fußteil befindet (sieht man auf dem 2. Bild mit der Schrägaufnahme bei der Artikelbeschreibung recht schön).Das horizontale Hin-und Herschwenken kann durch Ziehen/Hineindrücken des Knubbels am Motorgehäuse ein-und ausgeschaltet werden.Der Zusammenbau nimmt nur wenige Minuten in Anspruch. Man braucht allerdings einen Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher mittlerer Größe.Betrieb: Der Ventilator ist eine echte Windmaschine! Ich benutzte ihn fast ausschließlich im Modus "SilentNight". Da spüre ich in 3 Meter Entfernung gerade ein angenehmes Lüftchen. Als Nebeneffekt ist er dabei angenehm leise aber nicht unhörbar.Die höheren Stufen eignen sich eher um große Luftmengen in größerem Abstand zu bewegen. Vielleicht um überschüssige Wärme eines stärker beheizten Raumes in andere Räume zu verteilen. Das probier ich mal im Herbst/Kaminofensaison.Positiv finde ich auch die gute Verarbeitung und das schöne Design, obwohl das Gehäuse abgesehen vom Schutzgitter überwiegend aus Kunststoff ist. Macht aber einen wertigen und soliden Eindruck.Das Ganze merkt man auch in dem ruhigen Lauf auf allen Stufen ohne Rattern oder Klappern.Natürlich spiegelt sich das im Preis wider. Da ich kein Freund minderwertiger Billigware bin, ist es mir das Geld wert.

Buena calidad. Lo uso casi siempre en "silence" porque ventila muy bien y apenas se oye.
