Wagner's 52023 Black Oil Sunflower Seed Wild Bird Food, 5-Pound Bag

I’ve had great luck with these black oil sunflower seeds. The birds took to them right away, and I’ve regularly seen cardinals, finches, chickadees, doves, and other visitors stopping by. The squirrels are also big fans, and even the chipmunks seem happy whenever some seeds end up on the ground. One thing I like is that it’s a simple product without a bunch of extra fillers mixed in. The seeds looked fresh when they arrived, and my backyard critters clearly enjoy them because they never stick around for long. They’re easy to use in my feeder, and I’ve noticed a nice variety of wildlife visiting since I started putting them out. My only real con is the mess from the shells underneath the feeder, but honestly that’s pretty much what I expect with black oil sunflower seeds. The wildlife doesn’t seem to mind, and neither do I. Overall, these have become a staple in my yard and I’ll definitely be buying them again.

The cardinals, goldfinches, sparrows, cow birds, blue jays and all the other birds that visit us love these sunflower seeds. We have to refill our feeder every two days. High quality seeds packed well so they are fresh. Fortunately, black sunflowers aren't that expensive so these are inexpensive.

My yard is a backyard squirrel/bird paradise. I have a few bird feeders, (as well as a hummingbird feeder) and both squirrels and birds feast every day on this sunflower seed. The price is reasonable and it seems to go farther than I first thought it would.

One of my favorite hobbies is feeding the birds and wildlife that come to my yard. You can never go wrong when you put out these sunflower seeds for all to enjoy. I have so many birds flying in and out all day long and I'm starting to see some regular birds that are showing up every morning and waiting for me to put out their sunflower seeds for the day. I also have a rabbit family that comes up to my patio door when they've run out. If you want to watch nature in your backyard and in turn keep these beautiful birds and animals fed, these seeds are the best and they will love you!! The rabbits don't even run when they see me now. 😊

Good seeds for a reasonable price. Nothing spectacular. Not too small, not too large, comfortably in the middle. Birds DO love them.

The birds and squirrels will certainly eat these, but they seemed to prefer a different birdseed that has more variety. I think as the weather gets colder, they will enjoy these more because they have a high fat content and just the right kind for birds.

Best seeds. Bluebird flocked to these. Finch, Dark-eyed Junco, and other California native birds. Squirrels love them too. I scatter them and the bird show is spectacular

The birds live good with black seeds mixed in. Great size too.
