3M made in USA
Although the Amazon page lists these T-taps as made in China, my package stated they were 3M made in USA. They worked well, no problems crimping onto a fine wire. Place the wire in the slot, fold over the cover, and squeeze with pliers. Done. The trick is to get the right size T-tap for the wire you intend to clamp onto, so I bought a bag of each of the red, blue, and yellow. The T-tap allows you to connect in tighter spots than regular side-by-side splices, so although this is the first time I've used these, I like them a lot better. But as someone pointed out, these T-taps DO require the use of a spade connector, so be warned that those are needed. But the advantage of the T-tap is that you can splice different wire size easily by using the proper connector on each wire. In my case I had a fuse holder that had a 12AWG wire coming out of it downstream of the fuse that needed to be spliced into a 22 AWG wire. So a yellow 12 AWG T-tap was used on the fuse wire and I could use a red 22 AWG spade lug for the other wire. A standard single-size splice would not have worked in that situation.

giving 4 stars because it does what it's supposed to do, and the workmanship on these devices appears to be just fine. I would give it 3 stars to reflect how disappointed I was working with them, but I don't want to scare people into a potentially worse product.Basically, be sure you are using thick gauge wire. I know 18 doesn't sound very thick, but I must have had 22 gauge wiring or something because it was a pain in the neck to use with these. I had to finangle the wiring in order to splice using these. In the end it all worked out, it just wasn't as easy as I would have wished. That's not the product's fault entirely, which is why I gave it 4 stars. But it could have been easier too....

Tapped Factory Wires
I used these connectors when installing aftermarket amps in my Titan. I kept the stock head unit, so I needed these connectors to tap into the existing wiring so I could feed the signal to a signal processor. Well, they work, if you use them for the recommended gauge of wire. That's it, get'em if you need'em.

Don't buy very weak taps
These are pretty weak. They bend when clipping onto wires. Will not buy again. And yes I know what gauge wire these are meant to be used on and they don't work well. Every wire requires about 3 taps to get 1 to work.

Not that good
Metal slit where the wire goes needs to be tighter. There is too much wiggle room.
