Freeze Dried Dog Treats, 100% Wild Salmon, 9.5 oz Tub

My dogs love these treats and the are good for them! They get pretty crumbly when you get to the bottom of the bucket so I scatter the crumbs on the grass and they sniff around until they find every morsel!

We like that our dogs will do anything for a Stewart Freeze Dried treat, be it salmon or beef, have not tried chicken as yet. They all will be bribed to sit, stay, down and catch willingly and beg to be trained further. Most definitely on our regurarly purchase list :)

I buy in bulk (the 9.5 Ounce Resealable Tub) since my dog and cat both LOVE these treats. A bit stinky (salmon flavored), but not too bad -- and the pets - even finicky ones -- chow down on these like they are going out of style! A bit pricey, but the tub lasts a long time and worth it for a healthy, easy to feed, treat. UPDATE: Contrary to what others are saying, the tub is 3/4 full (not 1/3) and the pieces are quarter sized (see photos), with some being smaller (broken bits) with only a bit of dust in the tub that is great to use as a meal topper.

Right when I opened the package and held out a piece for my dog, she jerked her head back. It smelled like a plastic factory. I left it open for a while. I thought maybe it was because of the plastic bin. It came in, and I tried to give her a piece ang and she was not having it. I then transferred the treats into her ceramic treat container with a rubber around the rim. The next morning, I opened it again and she jerked her head back. It smells horrible, and my dog won’t touch it. I already threw the container away. I was thinking about giving it to one of my neighbors or friends. But I couldn’t give this away in good conscience. If it would’ve smelled a little bit better, I would’ve tasted it myself, but it’s awful.

We bought these treats for my 6 year old Corgi dog who recently was diagnosed with canine lymphoma in order to boost his omega 3's based on what our vet told us to help his health. Within a short time of giving him these treats a couple times a day for potty break treats, his fur became extremely silky! I can't speak for his hair falling out alot because he does have cancer, but he really enjoyed them and the amazing feeling of his fur made me really wish I had bought these sooner for him. He did not seem to have any digestion issues either. The pieces of salmon at the bottom was very difficult to use as a treat so we ended up just smashing the slivers and just topping his current food with it so it didnt go to waste. But as far as price goes, it went pretty far with the chunks that were not all slivers. I bought a container recently that promised bigger chunks and paid more so I think the price for what you get is not bad and you can do what I did, use the slivers as a suppliment for the dogs health. It does stink too, just so you know which means its good salmon I think lol.

My golden pup loves these. As soon as I open the lid he comes running. Great for training as they have a strong fish smell. Keeps his attention and he always wants more.

One of my dogs is likely allergic to chicken so we had to quickly pivot to non-poultry treats and food. This two pack bundle was a great deal after shopping around online. We are long time Stewart’s customers and love their products and this salmon one is the same. We didn’t buy bc it is expensive compared to other meats but can def vouch it is the same high quality product as their others.

I have been using Stewart Freeze Dried Salmon Dog Treats for a while and, until recently, had it as a subscribe and save item. I really like the simple and quality ingredients that make up the Stewart Freeze Dried Treats. My dog loves them and they are a healthy treat. Unfortunately, the last 2 containers I received had more salmon powder and very small pieces of salmon, than larger pieces that could be used for a treat. I was hoping the first container that didn't have many bigger pieces was just a one off, but it happened again this month. While I love the quality of Stewart Freeze Dried Salmon Dog Treats, I won't be ordering it again. At this point, I'm just using it as a food topper, which is fine, but I wanted them as a treat for my dog. I will be switching to the other freeze dried treats. Hopefully those will not get so broken up during shipping.

When opened it had this weird smell, not a fishy salmon smell at all, it was more like a chemical smell. My dog ended up trying a couple of pieces and then within a day he was having diarrhea and this is the only thing different in his diet. Needlesss to say we threw the container out as you cannot return it.
