Zodiac R0658100 3-HP Relay with Harness Replacement Kit for Select Zodiac Jandy Pool and Spa Power Control System

Relay was easy to install, works perfectly, and we saved a boat load of cash. Prior to installing this device, we had problems turning the pump system on/off from our interior Jandy Aqualink control panel. System would not come on as scheduled. We had to turn it on manually from exterior/master control panel, and interior panel would not turn it off. This was a bi+¢h in winter, as it effectively disabled the anti-freeze system when we needed it to kick on. Our pool guy suggested we must've input conflicting programs. Wrong (and he's not our pool guy anymore). Pool companies wanted $100 to $300 just to come out & diagnose the problem. So we did our own research and without too much time or effort, deduced the problem was due to a faulty relay - which, as it turns out, is a fairly common problem. It took, like, 5 minutes to install this relay. We just took a picture of how the old one was wired, unscrewed a few screws, swapped it out, and screwed in said screws according to picture. Perfecto. Interior panel, programs, and anti-freeze are all back online :-)

The local pool supply stores wanted two or three time the price, for this relay when compared to the online price. GPS Pools processed and shipped the relay, without any delay. These relays are normally trouble free and last several years. These relays supply power to the pump motors, valves and lights. If the 220 Volt main pump motor shorts out, it may fry the relay. The relay will either be stuck closed, or open. To troubleshoot, go to the outside control box and select the Service Mode. Then press the pump switch. If the indicator light functions correctly, but the pump motor runs continuously, or does not operate at all, you probably have a stuck relay that needs replacing. The relay is fairly easy to replace, but if you don't know what you are doing, call a repairman to do the job.

Worked perfectly and easy to install. If you feel that you might have a faulty switch, try tapping the old one with the butt of a screwdriver. If your pump or feature comes on after you tap it, then this switch is more than likely your problem. It should go without saying, but turn off the power at the breaker before opening the control panel!

Fixed my issue with pump not turning on. Old relay died after 15 years. This one made for Aqualink RS4 and it’s for up to a 3hp pump. My pump is 2 hp and old rely was only rated for 2hp,so I have a little room . Took 10 min to replace! Pump came right on once beakers turned on.

pool pump relay had failed with burn marks on the contacts (12 years old). This was the correct replacement. Easy to install (make sure to turn off electricity at the master breaker leading into the pool control box, not just the breaker inside the box as that will leave other components live still). I was concerned initially as I could not get it to work, but this was because the provided low voltage wires were loose. Once tightened everything works well.
