Caraway doesn’t disappoint
It started with a fry pan and now my family is obsessed with the Caraway cookware. It evenly cooks, is nice and sturdy and cleans so easily.

Best pot ever
I make huge rice and meat dishes, but I only cook in stainless, this pot is perfect shape. No shape corners, smooth curves. The lid sits flat, and the handles allow for the pot to be flipped over on a platter with the handles not being in the way.

Beautiful, but I am disappointed.
The Dutch oven is so luxurious, so beautiful, so rich. It’s a piece of art. However I did not expect it to be so huge. It was described as a 4.5 qt , but it looks an 8 qt to me. I live alone, disabled. I am hoping an angel to come help me to return it. Otherwise I will display it on the dining table as a beautiful piece of decoration.

This is The Pan
You know when you watch cooking shows and the michelan starred chef always tells you to sear the meat in a stainless steel pan before you put it in the oven? And their pan always looks way more impressive and does a better job than yours can do? They're using a stainless steel pan like this one. My goodness, I have a lot of nice stainless steel pans , but they aren't as thick as this one at all. Tbh, it's a bit too heavy for daily use IMO. Steel is an expensive material, so I am not going to question the price of this pan. I do think you should question yourself if you really need to splurge and buy " the best" when that means the pan is going to be heavy and not as easy to use as a more standard stainless steel pan. I am middle aged, and I have noticed a significant loss of wrist strength the last few years. I don't want to use something this heavy on a regular basis. I also didn't feel comfortable putting it up on the shelf where I keep my other stainless steel pans- because if I drop it from above counter height I think it could break my foot. So I found a space for this pan in my bottom cabinet. Its well made, its high quality- but in my opinion and experience of owning many stainless steel pans that have lasted for over 20-30 years, I think the quality of this pan might be a bit of an overkill. Its going to give you a mean sear next time you're making a stew though. And it looks as expensive as it is.Update: I have changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I have used this pan 3 times now-even though it's heavy, it sears and sautés meat better than any pan I've ever owned. It's worth the cost to get perfectly cooked meat every time.

Thick heavy 6-1/2lbs, Expect a lifetime of use
1-8-24I already have a decent size collection of the Caraway pots pans and bakeware. Yet still couldn't get rid of my stainless steel pot, now I have. For reference, this is the exact shape and size of their non-stick version. The entire pot not just the bottom and the handles are magnetic but not the lid, so we'll work well on induction stove tops. This just like any stainless steel pot I've ever had if you don't use enough oil foods will stick to the bottom. It's old school, you'll just have to let it soak. It's a thick heavy pot at 6-1/2 lbs with the lid. It's about 2 lbs shy of my same size cast iron Dutch oven. The instruction booklet recommend using silicone nylon or wood utensils so you don't mar the interior finish, that's not how it'll be used in my house. I ordered this specifically so I can use a mixer when making mashed potatoes without having to transfer them into yet another bowl.By the way, the radius corners of this pot are perfect for beaters to reach into without having to use a spatula/spoon to get them in the mix. This is a great addition to your collection or as a standalone pot/dutch oven.If you don't mind seeing some scratches it works great with mixer beaters and can be utilized at higher heats on the stove top or in the broiler. It comes with a Caraway version of a magic eraser to aid and removing the browning that occurs on the bottom or for stubborn marks on the inside.Something I wish they would include with their individual pieces is the appropriate magnetic plastic organizer, since some of us are adding pieces to our collection and they don't sell the organizer separately.I expect this will last a lifetime.Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you!

Flawless finish
My first impression was Puzz-3D were marketing this, because the packaging design was so clever it had me foxed. Once I got past that, I was stunned. When I inspected this Dutch Oven, I thought I had found a flaw until I looked really close and found it was an incredibly small engraved serial number. It’s so small I cannot even get a shot with my iPhone 13. With that identified, the finish is flawless. The handles are big enough for even the largest hands (which I own!).There is a tiny hole in the lid to allow steam to escape. Since the heavy lid is such a good fit, this is the only way it will get out. My wife advises me this is a matter of taste. The way I look at it, you can easily block a hole, but drilling one in a lid that does not have one is a lot harder; so having a hole makes best sense to me. She also says she prefers a domed lid. Again, this is a matter of opinion. If you like a particular feature, you buy a product that has it. So I am not holding this against the product. We bought this as a gift, because my wife would never stop using her grandmother’s Dutch Oven, which is quite possibly truly Dutch! I think this would make an excellent wedding gift for any couple. It comes with its own cleaning block and carefully thought-out instructions.I had not bought Caraway before we got this and their roasting pan, but they have made a very big impression on me.
