Clean Dashi Stock
I was on the hunt for a clean Dashi stock to shut up a craving I had. I didn't realize that I would be embarking on an impossible mission. I live in a large city, but until I found Gremlin's Dashi stock on Amazon, I was coming up short. Sure, I could find dashi, but they all had MSG or other additives. Gremlin's is both additive-free and MSG free; not a single ingredient is questionable. This one really delivers. It produces a rich umami broth with just one little packet. It's super quick to prepare and easy too. Seriously, my kids can make this. It's packed full of minerals and, following TCM principles, nourishes the kidneys. I'm so happy I found this and will definitely reorder when I run out.

Delicious convenience in a packet
This dashi powder is really good and helps make an authentic miso soup. It's so convenient to have individually wrapped packets.

Delicious, Authentic, and Gluten-free
This is exceptionally delicious dashi, just like Mom used to make. Just kidding, but I just returned from Japan and this tastes absolutely authentic. It is also gluten-free. (At least my gluten sensitivity is not triggered. If you are a celiac, please donโt take that as a license not to use caution. Your mileage may differ. This is all I can tell you. But it is very tasty.)

Convenient, good flavor. However, you may need a couple of packets to get the flavor profile that is more authentic

Won't go wrong making this purchase! Delicious soup stock base and lower in sodium than most others! Easy to use packets, fantastic flavor makes this well worth the money. Try it, you'll love it. It's my favorite go-to for my Saimin noodles!

A Richness
Like a teabag.... I was unsure of how much water to use for one dashi packet, but was very happy with the result. Delicious. I boiled one packet in 4 cups of water, for 4 minutes, added spinach & soft tofu, then turned off the heat, took out the dash and added red miso paste. The dashi added depth to the flavor. Really good.

Great product. Delicious soup base in no time. Throw in a little seaweed and scallion and a can of curried mussels and you have a quick treat. Little packets perfect for 2.5+ cups of broth.
