Replacement Earpads for Astro A50 Gen 3 (1 Pair)

Sadly I ordered the wrong generation of these, so they do not fit my Gen 4s.However I decided to make them fit! Luckily I had my old earpads, and the mount was perfect. I worked out that both these and the originals hold the cushion on with simple adhesive. A little blast with the hairdryer and the glue softened enough to peel off the old and new earpads, and they stuck straight onto the other mounts.So these softer, cooling pads, fit on my gen 4 mounts and fit on the headset perfectly. It took me all of 5 minutes to do.These are much softer, feel cooler and look much better than my old ones.Overall very happy!

Perform exactly how I hoped.Cooling gel works well, but still warms up a bit after a while (standard though).The pads definitely drown out more external noise than the stock pads due to their dual material construction. They feel firmer too, but they are replacing a 5 year old pair. Still comfy though.Overall quality is good for the price imo, but the pleather looks like it may start to peel in no time (we'll see).

Yuhtech Replacement Earpads for Astro A50 Gen 3 (1 Pair)Ive had my Astro A50 for a few years, there used pretty much everyday while working they started off as my gaming headset before being replaced.The original earpad are well used and are going flat to get some more usage out of these replacing the earpads with these version are fairly inexpensive.The leather around the outside i believe is a faux leather with the inner being memory foam. I have to say these were slightly firmer than the original which are softer on the ears however, I found these did block out more noise from outside.These did feel cooler on the ear however, i didn't believe the coolness last for too long yet does a good job i could probably still use these for around the same length of time than i would with the originals still in place.These snap into to place well and they do hold in place just like the original with a little tab to help remove them if needed too in order to either replace the pads or clean underneath.Overall a good replacement, firmer, blocks outside noise better than the original, just hoping the faux leather holds up over time other than that i couldn't really fault these.
