Had to return
Great concept but had to return as the propellers kept spinning off causing it to crash and break so I had to return unfortunately :(

Very stable and easy to fly.
Was and still am very favourably impressed. Very stable and easy to fly with the little handheld coltroller. Now have 3 of 'em! Very tough, too. Definitely 5 stars from me, having flown them all for over a month with no problems. And I'm a 72 year old Grandad! With 6 grandkids. And over 20 drones from tiny £35 to bigger £600 jobs. These little 4DRC rones are fun! Geoff 'Spider', Yorkshire.

A bit too lightweight to use outside at this time of year
This is a review for the 4DRC V31 Remote Control Plane 2.4Ghz Foam RC Airplane Helicopter.PROS:* Lightweight and easy to carry around* It works and is fairly easy to control* It's fun to play with* It comes with a spare plane battery, so you can swap them over and extend the total flight time* It doesn't cause damage if it knocks into things - should be fairly safe near to windows/greenhouses etc* Good beginner plane for older children/younger teensCONS:* It's expensive for what it is* The finish of the foam body isn't as good as it looks in the listing photos* Although the listing says that batteries are included, this just refers to the lithium batteries for the body. You need to supply your own AAA batteries for the remote* It's so lightweight that you can't use it outside if there's even a hint of a breeze, never mind the weather we've been having recently! This really limits the days when you might be able to take it out to play with in the garden or at the park. You can use it indoors, but the makers advise against this.

Was soo excited about this product as I knew the kids would think it is fantastic, but....
Sadly, I after a nearly a month, elapsed time, of trying to get this to work I have given up and assumed that I have a dud.So I read the instructions, charged up the batteries with the supplied charging cable and waited and waited for both batteries to be fully charged.I placed the battery in the drone and batteries in the controller and switched on the drone first and then the controller. The instructions indicate that there would be some kind of light indicator coming from the drone, I did not have anything. I still tried to calibrate the unit but nothing. I then pressed all the buttons on the controller and moved the stick and nothing happened.I switched batteries and tried again. No indicator lights and same response from the controller.I am going to rate this a one star but this is due to my experience with this particular product that I have received. I have read the reviews on this item and it makes me kind of sad that mine does not work! :-(Unless I am making one massive mistake and got the wrong idea on how to use this and if someone does correctly or point me the errors of my way then I will gladly review this again.

Fun to fly. Takes a but to get used to.
The media could not be loaded. I'm a fairly experienced drone pilot and also really capable with RC planes, so was intreagued to see how this RC plane/drone flies. To my surprise, after you get used to the controls on this, it's actually easier to fly than expected. The batteries last at least 10 minutes (quoted 12-13 mins)I took some time to figure out how to use the gesture control. It seems you need to pernanently hold the button down for this. It does work quite responsive though. This is fun and quite nippy to fly around. Disappointingly, the controls aren't clearly marked, so you do need to remember what each direction button does.Overall, this is fun and a different type of drone to fly. It responds well and is quite fun. It's also good for anyone who I ly has mobility in. Arm.Definitely recommended. Just make sure you have some time to get used to the controls.

Fun but not fantastic
While this drone is fun, for a while at least, it is perhaps a tad over-priced for what it is.Despite the aeroplane body, it's effectively just a standard budget mini-drone but with a bigger surface area. The design has its pros and cons making for a faster more aerodynamic drone, but one that is a fair bit more unstable and buffeted by the smallest of breezes. In my experience, it's pretty responsive but can be difficult to control as it moves with a little more speed than I'd like. It's best used in a wide-open space as the build quality isn't amazing with everything feeling and looking a little cheap, almost like it's been 3D printed at home.As I say though, it is fun zooming it around the garden and overall a decent way to try your arm at drone flying.
