HydroSure Two Outlet Water Timer

I already had one of these timers so bought another one assuming it would be ok. This one doesn't work at all. I think these are very temperamental - if they work they are good (as in the case of my first one), if they don't they are rubbish. Although I ordered this on Prime delivery it did not arrive on time and I was going away for a holiday - tried to set it up when we came back, didn't work.

Came on time as ordered, looked and operated like described, however after about 3 months of use - the whole unit just leaked water when the water was left on - which was the purpose of the timer - i.e. automated watering. My water input was normal standard household water pressure - i.e. not high pressure - very expensive and wasterful unit - if it just lasts 3 months. Wont be buying this again might look for industrial strength timing units in future -

Needed to water the garden whilst on holiday. Worked perfectly. No dead plants when we came home. Dead easy to set up, just add batteries and away you go. Much cheaper than most products, and it has two outlets, so used one for the pots and baskets and the other for the borders.

Works extremely well but it would benefit from a few more settings. If you need to change the time of day, it can get a little confusing. If you set it come on from 20 minutes every 12 hours, it will not start until the 12 hours have passed, following that initial setting it will operate as expected. A minor issue. However, the timer has managed to keep our vegetable plants watered and healthy during the recent very hot weather.

I already had one of these, very happy with it. Bought another one and it didn't work. It happens sometimes. Informed the seller and they dispatched a new one same day. No other two zone timer comes close on cost.

I have only used this unit for a few weeks but when I got back from holiday and my plants and hanging baskets looked better than when I left, I think that it's due 5 stars.The two timers are independent so it's necessary to think about time intervals and overlaps if you don't have enough pressure to guarantee running both sections together but not too difficult to work out a distribution scheme with minimum overlap and in practice it works very well.

The only thing that you have to remember is that it will go through the irrigation cycle from the time of day that you set it. You cant programme it start at a later time than that. But this is no big deal for what so far has proven a reliable, modestly priced system allowing two separate irritation cycles for separate areas of watering.
