Some people do not like the high volume of this book, but personally my husband and I and our daughter (who can be quite a critic) don't mind it at all. My daughter loves to dance whenever she hears the music play. And the book is great with offering a variety of instruments. They have the guitar, trumpet, piano, drum set, and violins. Each music diddy is actually cute and have a catchy simple melody. The violins are our favorite. I have played this book to her since she was 4 months old and she is now 10 months old and is not tired of it.****UPDATE****My daughter is approaching 2 years old and still loves this book. Furthermore what makes us parents love the book is that it help add to her vocabulary and early exposure to music. When we play each instrument, we use our hands to mimic how to play the instrument in real life so now our little one rubs her belly to imitate a guitar, tap her fingers on table for piano, etc. Definitely recommend.

Arrived broken, had to contact Amazon for a refund since the item didn’t work. It arrived visibly used with a split spine as well. Don’t buy from this seller, period.

My son really loves playing with this book. It only has a couple instruments in it -- guitar, piano, trumpet, violin, and drum set -- and the sound snippets go off really easily, so it gets pretty old for parents to listen to very quickly.

I wanted this book to expose my 15 month old to the sounds of different instruments. It only has 5, and the "buttons" are too hard for him to press and it is very LOUD. I like the samples of each instrument however, and he enjoys listening to it.

A friend recommended this book after buying one for her grandchild! It is a huge hit for our 3-year old grandson who loves music and is learning the sounds of instruments. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of this book. It's a bargain for the money with wonderful graphics as well. Buy it; you won't be disappointed.

I'm a musician and I bought this for my friends' 1-year old, to start him early. He loved it! The sounds are great! The book is thick but it only has a few pages---the rest of the depth accounts for the electronics required to play the sounds.

I bought this for my 2 year old son and he loves it. I wish this book has many more instrument sounds in it. I can't wait to have the other book which is not released yet.

This book is awesome. Great way to introduce instruments and their sounds to kids. My 3 year old loves it!

Bought for my 2 year old son who loved it, and still loves it a year later. Clear, loud and interesting snippets per instrument, violin is his favourite

The book is soundless, thus useless. A big disappointment.

We bought this for our 17 month old after seeing it at the art museum gift shop and it is so loved! It is his go-to book and his big siblings (4 and 6 years) love it too. We've tracked down some animal books in this series as well and they are well made with real animal sounds (or at least realistic sounds) would definitely recommend. It took some practice for our 17 month old to figure out how to press the sound button but he got it and now loves it.

I bought this as a replacement for a worn out copy. Oddly, the old book and the new one are not in the same key. My grandson doesn't care. He loves it.
