The sprayer works great and the customer service is even better! I purchased this alongside some Temprid FX to treat for ants and spiders around the house. I have used it on a handful of occasions and it was easy to pressurize, spray and carry. They have done a great job designing something for small to medium sized projects that’s straight forward to use, seals nicely and is reasonably priced. Are you supposed to leave the unit pressurized between uses? Nope. Are you supposed to leave chemicals in the sprayer between uses? Also nope. I didn’t know these things but probably should have used some common sense. Unfortunately, I went to use the sprayer today and it developed a leak at one of the seams. And did PetraTools customer service reply to my warranty request within an hour, on a Sunday, and still send me a replacement even though my negligence could have caused the damage? They sure did! Awesome sprayer and company. Highly recommend!

I've found my new home for sprayers. I've been using Chapin 20000s for years — 3 different sprayers for 3 different concentrates: ORTHO Home Defense (Perimeter Insect Killer), ORTHO WeedClear (Lawn Weed Killer), and ORTHO GroundClear (Weed & Grass Killer) / BioAdvanced Brush Killer. I bought the PetraTools 1-Gallon Pump Sprayer - HD101. I tested it with water and the handle leaked. I contacted PetraTools customer service via email and got a response and apology from Anne within 10 minutes during business hours. After sending her a short video of the leaky handle, she took very good care of me. That alone—including the back-and-forth emails—convinced me this company is serious not only about their products but also about their customers. That's a welcome surprise these days. Fast delivery later, I tested the sprayer with ORTHO Home Defense around the perimeter of my house and garage (I'd already sprayed inside with my Chapin 20000 the day of the leaky handle). The PetraTools sprayer is definitely better. The curved wand tip is a standout feature — it makes it much easier to spray along foundations, under bushes, and into tight corners without bending the hose or fighting the angle. The longer wand also gives you extra reach, which came in handy for spraying the top of my outside windows without having to stretch or climb. The pump locks onto the housing securely and stays in place—no slipping. The pump itself is smooth, and there was no air leakage anywhere. Everything is hand-tighten only, no tools Allowed. I noticed I had to pump a bit less with the PetraTools compared to my Chapin 20000 when using the same ORTHO Home Defense. That said, my other Chapin 20000—used with harsher chemicals—requires more pumping. Could be that the newer Chapins are cheaper builds, or maybe it's the chemicals. Hard to say. Side note: before the PetraTools, I bought a Chapin 16100 with the curved tip. It was junk. I was so mad I threw it away and wrote Chapin off—the attachments felt cheaper than my older 20000s. That's why I decided to try a different brand for the first time. The PetraTools comes with extra filters (one of each of the two types), a fan flat nozzle, and what I assume is an adjustable nozzle—though both are black, while the nozzle on the wand is orange. The instruction manual is night and day compared to Chapin's. PetraTools actually spent money on theirs—color photos, clear steps, and a cover reminder to register for the free 3-year extended warranty. Anne actually registered mine for me, so I didn't even have to do that. I'll be replacing my older Chapins with PetraTools in the near future. I'm planning to upgrade to 2-gallon versions so I don't have to refill as often, and I'll eventually buy a backup just for peace of mind. I'm very happy with this sprayer, this company, and most importantly, Anne from PetraTools. The sprayer was recommended by DeepSeek AI — so there's that as well.

I've bought cheaper sprayers before and almost always run into problems fast like clogging on first use, applicator tubes that won't stay in the handle, handles that break, pumps that won't seal, etc. So I was skeptical going into this purchase given my track record with similar products. The Petra Tools sprayer changed my mind. It was easy to assemble, felt sturdy and well-made right out of the box, and I had it filled and working within minutes. No leaks, no clogs, no breaks. Just strong, consistent pressure and easy cleanup. The pressure release valve was a nice bonus feature I didn't expect to appreciate as much as I do. I liked it enough to buy a second one. If you need a reliable sprayer that actually holds up, I highly recommend this one.

I was pretty impressed with this sprayer for the price. It works great, no leaks, holds a lot of tank pressure and is super easy to use right out of the box. For the price you can't beat it. Pretty solid little tank!

This 1 gallon Petratools Pump Sprayer is great! It's sturdy, easy to set up, and easy to use. I love the release value feature as you can easily release the built up pressure so you don't accidentally get sprayed. If you are using weed killer or some other toxic solution, this is important. It has a nice spray strength and the wand is really comfortable to use. It comes with two different types of nozzles. I tried out the wide one (black color) as I am spraying a large area of weeds and wanted to be able to get it done quickly. I recently bought one of those large weed killer bottles with a little sprayer on top, but it was really terrible to use because you have to squeeze the handle over and over again to cover the area. It was taking a long time, my hand was cramping up from all the squeezing, and I had to bend over to reach the weeds properly, which was uncomfortable and brought my face closer to the weed killer. I obviously didn't like this experience at all. This sprayer fixes all of that at a very reasonable cost. In the end, it actually saves quite a bit of money because buying the concentrated solution is much cheaper that buying a bunch of spray bottles. It also saves your hand from cramping up with all that squeezing, and best of all, it saves so much time!

This sprayer is very well made and includes features (like the pressure release valve) that I don't find any more on sprayers I buy from local stores. The tank is made of thicker plastic than I usually find on sprayers I find locally. The pump handle is SOLID — it doesn't bend when you put pressure on it while pumping. The sprayer hose is longer than the ones that come with other brands. It comes with great tips for keeping your sprayer working smoothly. It's been working smoothly all summer. I'll keep buying these as long as the guys who make this don't sell out to a private equity firm. Haha!

After 1st use, I would say this pump sprayer is very well designed and manufactured to excellent tolerances. Which is to say it's easy to maintain pressure spray after pumping, with an excellent seal surrounding the pump, and lasts for a long time with enough pumps. The adjustable nozzle is possibly the stand-out feature for me, which allows adjusting the spray all the way down to the width of a pencil (for targeting grass/weeds between driveways and sidewalks, etc.) It has a gallon plus capacity, which makes it convenient for larger jobs while not being overly heavy (which would definitely be the case if it were built for 2 gallons.) I have another slightly larger sprayer, and this one is definitely easier and lighter to use... Definitely recommend following the instructions for cleaning afterwards, because some of the chemicals in garden sprays are not plastic friendly or can cause the nozzles to become clogged.
