I have never heard of this product until I did some researching. I needed a solution to make my stainless steel pots look less dingy and this was it! It's also great at getting cooked on stains out leaving the pots with a nice shine. It doesn't have a strong smell or aroma at all and I have never had a scratch (but I do use a soft sponge with this product and it does the trick!)

Why no lid?
This thing works great, but, there's not lid? It has a sticker that is supposed to keep it closed, but the sticker doesn't stick well, and just peels up all the time. Right now I have something heavy on it just to keep it closed.
