This is a fine powder glitter. It is sparkly and a beautiful purple color. instructions say do not eat if under 12 years old. There is not a sweet flavor to them, in fact there is no flavor.

I initially heard of edible glitter when my student council president (I am the advisor) wanted to put it in the punch at their homecoming. I figured if it was a hit with high schoolers my younger kids would definitely appreciate it. We use it simply in their water (which as far as I know it doesn't alter the flavor) and they love watching the glitter swirl. It works well for a single glass, but it does settle if you are using it in a large container. At homecoming all the glitter settled to the bottom between students drinking. I recommend having a spoon to stir it occasionally to get the desired swirly effect. We haven't tried it in baked goods, but I am anxious to add it to some cookies this holiday season.
