What testing is done to assure purity? What is the source of the monk fruit, country of origin? Is this product grown organically?

Thanks for your question. Yes, testing is done to assure purity and the lack of any heavy metals or microbials. This testing is available upon request, simply message our store. The country of origin is China, as Monk Fruit is a plant native to south China and not found in other parts of the world. The product is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or herbicides but it is not USDA certified organic, which is required to make any organic claims in the USA.

Does the powdered monk fruit have to be refrigerated like the liquid does?

Thanks for your question. No, the powder does not have to be refrigerated. Just be sure to seal the pouch tightly after each use and it will last for 2+ years.

When using this for baking --Cup for cup what is the ratio difference between sugar and pure Monkfruit extract?

Thanks for your question. For baking we recommend using 1/8th cup of monk fruit extract to replace 1 cup of sugar. You may need to add erythritol to the recipe to fill in the bulk missing by using monk fruit instead of sugar.

Is this monk fruit non gmo?

Thanks for your question. Yes, our monk fruit is non-GMO.
