Valvoline Restore & Protect Full Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil 1 Quart

The Valvoline Restore & Protect Full Synthetic 5W-30 has been one of the best motor oils I’ve used in a higher-mileage vehicle. After a few oil changes, the engine felt noticeably smoother and quieter, especially during cold starts. Throttle response improved slightly, and idle became more consistent as well. What really stands out is the cleaning performance. This oil is designed to help remove deposits and prevent future buildup, and it seems to actually deliver. My engine runs cleaner, and oil consumption appears lower compared to some other synthetic oils I’ve tried. It also holds up very well between oil changes without breaking down or getting excessively dark too quickly. The 5-quart jug is convenient, easy to pour, and priced competitively for a full synthetic with advanced additives. This is the most amazing oil I have ever used. As a previous mechanic and current auto enthusiast, I am very picky about what I use in my vehicle. I tried this on a car I planned on trading in for about a year before getting rid of it and it really made a difference in quieting down the lifters and valve train. Looking internally to the engine I found that this does clean and dissolve varnish internally while also retaining its viscosity. I was impressed by the improvement in how smoothly it made that car run until trading it in. I've been using it in my new to me 20 year old used car I bought which has low mileage and runs great. Using this oil has only made it run better. Quieter, smoother, etc. I have used RP, Mobil 1, Pennzoil, and more. This one is my new number one that I plan on sticking with for the life of my vehicle.

Cleans your engine from the inside. I can reduce engine noise, gunk in your engine and helps make it last longer and run better. Look online for all the wright ups on this stuff, it's almost a miracle for older engines and keeps newer ones clean inside,

Absolutely does what it says it does. Need to do a few oil changes for it to really work if you have neglect. I run 5w-30 in our 2017 coyotes and have been impressed. Has cut our oil consumption issues down

Great oil! Saw plenty of YouTube videos about this oil. I have a 2019 F-150 2.7 engine. It has dual turbos if you don’t know about Ford engines. Lots of YouTube people recommend this oil and did some before and after videos. Yes there very much improvement from the carbon deposits being pretty much gone. There is one catch you need to do a minimum of 4 oil changes for the stuff to really work. I am currently on 2 and yes I can see my dip stick much cleaner and the truck feels better with acceleration and gas mileage has gone up a little bit as well. Even their competition Mobil 1 has gotten into the game and launch their version as well. I plan on sticking with this and then switching to Pennzoil ultra platinum as project farm video says it’s the best bang for you buck oil.

Personally it has stopped my 185,000 mile, 16 year old Subaru EJ253 engine from consuming/burning oil in just 2 3,000 mile interval oil changes. I was previously burning about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles before using the Valvoline restore and protect and it has already done its job and then some. Not only have I stopped consuming oil, I’ve seen roughly a +3mpg increase compared to the times I’ve used and tracked MPG while using Shell Rotella T6 and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum; it doesn’t end there either as I regularly check my engine oil dipstick out of habit because the car used to burn oil and I had to stay on top of the oil level. Upon checking my oil level at 1,000 miles into the second oil change I was shocked to see how clean the Valvoline oil was on the sides of the dipstick, using other oils and checking them at that interval has always had my oil looking quite black and dirty just 1000 miles after a change, this was not the case with the restore and protect; it came out at 1000 miles looking very clean, translucent and not discolored. I can’t recommend this product enough, especially at the price point compared to competitors; I will always have a jug of this stuff in the garage.

The Valvoline R&P oils might be the very best oils on the market for late model engines. These oils have an incredible ability to clean piston ring lands(grooves). Owners that gone to extended oil change intervals and have experienced oil usage and blue smoke from the exhaust can solve this issue. This oil can clean the piston ring grooves and ‘restore’ the ring’s ability to seal the combustion chamber from the crankcase thereby actually STOPPING oil usage and the exhaust smoke. I wish Valvoline would extend this oil technology to 10w30 and 10w40 viscosities for use in mower engines.

Good oil, really does clean like it says it does. My 2003 Honda Odyssey has 225k and have been using this oil since 100k. (Replacing Mobil 1). Motor runs great.

Too soon to say whether its cleaning inside as it suggests 4 oil changes to show the effect. But the oil definitely made the engine noticeably quieter, smoother, and reduced the fluctuating revs I had due to the sludge (which I am hoping to clean by this oil). So its definitely effective in getting control of the internal lubrication requirements.
