Great product from a trusted and well known brand/manufacturer
Great product from a trusted and well known brand/manufacturer Item works well no issues at all file transfer speeds are good it’s extremely compact and small would be great if it came with a key ring or some sort of clip on as the size is so small it could easily be lost or misplaced and also would be great if there was more storage size options available other than that it’s a great product and I’m only going to purchase products like this from well know and trusted manufacturers as there’s and reason why they are the other cheaper products offering larger storage capacity just don’t work!

Good price for the size and speed
I've bought 2 of these recently, 1 for general use and 1 to go in my Blink Sync2 Module to provide local usb storage for my blink cameras. As a lot of users have done, I ran a CrystalDiskMark on it. This was only done on 1 out of the 2 I bought and was done twice, after a quick formats with 64KB and 128KB allocation unit sizes. Write-caching is disabled for quick removal by default on my machine. Slightly higher sequential read speeds with the 64KB size, but otherwise, not really much difference. Certainly not enough to affect general everyday use for me. I haven't noticed either getting particularly hot, but being an exposed metal case would help with any heat dissipation needed. Overall, a good sized USB 3.2 Gen 1 with a nice balance between capacity, speed and price. I can certainly see me getting more of these (at various capacities as needed) for myself and family and recommending to friends.

TESTED: Good sequential R/W, poor random R/W
This USB flash drive represents good value for money, is it the fastest? No, is it the slowest? No not by a long shot. Testing with CrystalDiskMark reveals: Sequential read speeds around 200-220MB/s. Sequential write speeds between 65-110MB/s Random read speeds between 9-10MB/s Random write speeds between 0.01-0.02MB/s The above is typical of cheap flash storage devices. The random write is poor but all but the highest end controls and flash memory struggle with this type of IO. For general use, copying typical files we find today, large images, videos, backups, ZIPs etc then this drive will do well. But copying millions of tiny files to it will take a long long time. Tested on a Thinkpad P14S using a USB 3.2 port. It got warm during testing but not hit by any means. For the price this is probably the best value for money memory stick on the market.

Reliable and fast storage solution
I recently purchased the Kingston DataTraveler, and it has proven to be an excellent addition to my tech arsenal. It combines speed and security for a seamless data storage experience. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 technology ensures rapid data transfer, making it a breeze to move large files and documents. Whether I'm backing up important files or transferring multimedia content, the Kingston DataTraveler delivers impressive speed, saving me valuable time in the process. The sleek and durable metal casing not only gives it a premium look but also provides robust protection for my data. Its compact design makes it easy to carry in my pocket or attach to a keychain, ensuring that my files are always within reach when I need them. I appreciate the thought Kingston has put into security features. The drive supports password protection, giving me peace of mind knowing that my sensitive data is safeguarded against unauthorized access. This additional layer of security adds tremendous value, especially for those dealing with confidential information. The plug-and-play functionality is another standout feature. It works seamlessly with various devices, from laptops to smart TVs, without the need for any additional software installation. It's a true plug-and-play experience, which is perfect for users who want a hassle-free storage solution. It is also recommended by MSI to be used to Flash BIOS, which is originally what I purchased it for, although after realising how great of a flash drive it is, I now bring it everywhere with me. Will be interesting to find out how long it lasts before it begins to fail, being a capless design, dust and debris may get trapped within the USB port, although time will tell. In conclusion, the Kingston DataTraveler Kyson USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive is a reliable and high-performing storage solution. Whether you're a student, professional, or anyone in need of swift and secure data transfer, this flash drive is a fantastic choice. Kingston has once again delivered a product that combines speed, durability, and security, making it an essential tool in my daily tech toolkit. Highly recommended!

Great quality
Does what it says really. Fast enough transfers and i really like the aluminium or metal it’s made of, feels very strong. The little plastic bit at the end though doesn’t feel great, it’s slightly loose out of the box so could possibly come off if you actually used it on a keyring or something

Doesn't work on my computer
Doesn't work on my computer. Only works on windows 10 & 11. Doesn't say this in description except in the small print if you select the photo of back of the packaging at the top of page, where you wouldn't think to look. Also that information on photo is wrong as it says it works on windows 8 & 10 when the one I got works on windows 10 & 11.

Cheap and reliable
I've had these drives for a while and they are honestly amazing. Quick for installing an operating system from (if you do that often) and reliable for anything you throw at them. Also nice build (although the tolerances could've been tighter; the lanyard hook wobbles a bit.

Does the job
Bought it for the lab 2 years ago for installing Ubuntu. Have gone through 10's of installations and they keep going.
