Awesome, debarker. Had a bunch on downed cherry timber, I wanted debarked for smoking meat. This tool is sturday, thick and does the job. I'd buy it again

Worked awesome for peeling poles, read reviews about handles i bought gorilla rubber tape with adhesive so if dropped won't break wooden handles. Peeled 40 tipi poles, great for green trees.

The product arrived as described. I was surprised to see it had a double bevel. For shaving, a single bevel is required. I’m not sure what counts as “hand forged”. It looks like a piece of plate metal that was crudely cut and shaped. Calling the blade curved is generous. It’s a very crude tool. The handles / grips are undersized. The weight of the tool and the small handles makes it difficult to use. I wasn’t able to debark red oak. The blade skipped across the bark due to the bevel and inability to angle the tool. I’d recommend the seller consider a single bevel and curving the tool. Add larger handles so when debarking a log the tool can be pulled more effectively and ergonomically. All of these issues are fixable with a modest setup by the buyer but if the crafter would make these modifications I think a higher price could be commanded.

I've used this to debark several trees. It holds a sharp edge and works good. The handles are a little loose but that doesn't affect the use. I would purchase again

Easy to use heavy duty

For the new carvers and collectors, it’s meant to be used on fresh wood. You’ll have a much harder time on dried out bark. It’ll still work but SO WILL YOU. Haha. It’s much easier with fresh cuts. Very sturdy, very functional for my hobbies, great value, and the grip is great for holding it whether or not you are gloved. I expect it to last a long time.

Handles are very loose and wobbly, and came in very dull.

This thing is too legit to quit! It looks and feels custom made, the color difference in the handles with the design burned on to them makes it even more special in my opinion. I'm on my second large tree limb with no sign of dulling, highly recommend!

There is a lack of finishing and the handles are wiggly but the blade came in okay sharp and no defects

It ok, but I wish the handle were a bit bigger, it finish felt it need a bit more work. It feel a bit like it was not completed in it finishing process, but I mostly wish my handle were larger, so I felt I had a better grip on it. It performed ok, allowed me to remove the bark. I won't do a lot of tree with it, but for a few of them, it ok.
