Works well in our pond
We have an in-ground pond with a few gold fish in it to keep down algae, etc. This pump has worked flawlessly even after the deer have knocked it over and the raccoons have tore it up trying to get to the fish. It doesn't create as large of a bell as other pumps however on windy days, which are frequent, less water get blown out of the pond via the bell and that's fine with me.
