Bissell Crosswave Turbo Vacuum Mop All in One Wet and Dry Vac Combo Hard Floor & Area Rug Cleaner, 3888A

Absolutely love the convenience of this item. It is a huge time saver by doing both the vacuuming and mopping at the same time. It works well and does a much better job than using a sponge mop. A once over with the Crosswave and the floor was as clean as when I scrub it with a brush - with far less effort. I am so glad I purchased it. I have 4 dogs, so dog hair is always an issue. I know there is a pet model, but I have not had any problem with this one handling the dog hair and bigger pieces of debris that they bring in. There are a couple things I'd like to see the developers improve upon in a future model. 1. Having the freshwater tank on the back of the handle makes the handle very heavy when it's full. I'd rather see the fresh water on the front of the machine for better balance. 2. The brush head is too light. I've found if you use the Crosswave like a normal vacuum, the front end is too light and when you extend your arm forward, the front of the brush head lifts off the floor. I'd like to see some weight to the brush head so that you can push it forward like a regular vacuum. I have been able to adapt by making shorter passes and keeping my arm lower to the ground when extending it farther out (such as under a table), but it can be uncomfortable. 3. I would like the brush to get closer to the wall. I have noticed that it leaves about a 2-inch gap between the wall and the wet area from the mop when running it parallel to the wall. This is unfortunate as plenty of debris and dirt gets along my walls. I did find that if you go straight towards the wall (perpendicular) you can get a lot closer - which brings me to point 4. 4. Better swivel of the brush head. Once I figured out that I needed to go perpendicular to the wall to get a better clean, I found that in close spaces (such as a hallway), the swivel where the handle attaches to the brush head was not as much as I would like. My vacuum has much better swivel, so that I can stand off to the side and run the brush at a sharp angle. An improvement in this area would make the machine much more comfortable to use when in tight spots. Overall, despite these few things I think could be improved upon, I love the machine and find it saves significant time and gets the floor cleaner than the mop. I highly recommend and have told all my friends!

Update 2/11/2026: I had not been able to reach customer support as I’ve had the vacuum since July 11 2025, I reached out to the Bissell Bot in their customer service area. That things on it. We went through everything and got to the roller brush, it would start and then the brush would stop engaging so it would shut off. She had me fix the roller/ unplug the vacuum and plug it back in and it was still doing it. I had a replacement roller so I put it on and everything seems back to normal now. I threw the other roller away although I looked the whole thing over and I’m not sure why it wasn’t engaging. So long story short if it’s shutting off and won’t turn back on, make sure the roller is spinning, if it’s not adjust it, unplug the vacuum and plug it back in and it will turn back on, if the roller is still not spinning, take it out and make sure the part that spins the brush is spinning when you engage it. If it is just replace the brush and it will work again. If it’s not you have bigger issues than I did. Update 1/27/2026…. I have been having issues with this vacuum and it’s power and having to clean the canister even before anything gets into it, the funnel part would clog, then it started just shutting off on its own. I’ll be contacting customer support as I’ve checked all the obvious things. Listen this thing is a life saver! I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t want this amazing creation! We ranch, we have cattle, horses, muck boots, work boots, we have working dogs that are inside dogs and we have teenagers in and out. We have tile and carpet floors and this thing has saved my life with the time it has saved me. It’s so easy to use and fast, not to mention it gets everything and I have a tri star vacuum that I adore and I’m using this more now. So simple to clean and empty. Picks up even the smallest of dirt, hair, and grime but also mops like a champ. The power is fantastic! I love the ease of going from one kind of flooring to another with just a button and one machine that does it all. And news flash you can switch the cleaner for a carpet cleaner and it will do that too. It’s not heavy at all! I will say it sucks a bit where the trigger is for the mop, if your not paying attention while your vacuuming you can accidentally click the button and have a lil snag because what your vacuuming just got a bit wet and well if you have pets, do the math. lol I will also add I’d probably buy additional brush and filter for it right off the bat and I’d switch them out from mopping/vacuuming and they would probably last quite a bit longer that way.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love My Bissell CrossWave! I love my Bissell CrossWave! It’s quick and easy to use, lightweight, and makes cleaning my floors so much easier. The cord is plenty long enough to reach all areas of the room without constantly having to switch outlets. It works great and is affordable, especially for how convenient it is. Definitely a great purchase!

I bought this Crosswave less than a year ago and it is shutting off moments after turning it on. After a little detective work, I found that the brush was not moving freely which was causing the machine to shut off to avoid burning up the motor. While that sounds like an easy fix of simply replacing the brush roller, to my dismay I found that another problem (which I knew from the beginning) is that if you have pet hair it can wrap itself around the drive head that fits into the roller and was absolutely impossible to remove. A video showed hubby and I how to dismantle the machine and free the offending hair from the gizmo but unfortunately the screws holding the assembly on are crap and several stripped completely out. (No idea how to get these screws.) Obviously, this is engineered by design to keep you buying cleaners on a yearly basis. DO NOT by any means buy this machine if you have PETS! You will have to disassemble it and clean it out on a weekly basis if you want to get any longevity out of this machine. At $200 this is disgraceful! I always swept the floor before scrubbing so it is impossible to avoid, in my opinion, and forget using it as a dry vacuum. Other than this I did like its ease of use and maneuverability and until I realized this failure I loved it. It had very good suction and my floors were very clean after using it.

So far I actually like this vacuum and I’m probably going to keep it. It cleans well and the vacuum/mop combo is really convenient. My only issue is with one of my thinner area rugs. The suction is so strong that it pulls the rug up and makes it pretty difficult to vacuum. It works fine everywhere else, so this isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker for me. Just a heads-up for anyone who has very thin or lightweight rugs—you may struggle with them.

This was a gift for my daughter who has hardwood floors and small area rugs with a 4 year old that makes messes all the time! She loves this and it makes cleaning so much easier and does the job well with a family of five plus three animals! Cannot believe how clean it makes the floors and so easy to use with a perfect balanced cleaner to go along! It's great and would recommend to anyone and will buy myself one soon!

Owned for six months, used five or six times. Pros: - The brush picked up some ancient ground-in dirt on a textured ceramic tile floor. I am grateful for that. - The floor is dry very quickly after use, no standing water. - It combines two actions into one; no need to vacuum and then manually mop. Cons: - After a few uses, I have started to get an awful squeal, and it's not picking up like it did at first. If you've ever driven a car with an ignition key, then you know never to turn the key while the car is running. That's the noise this vacuum is making now. I assume it's a bad belt, and think I will disassemble it soon. But I'll be honest, plain old mopping was less hassle. - After using it, you must remove five parts (bin, float, filter, roller brush, and brush cover) and let them air dry somewhere for 24 hours. For me, it means a crowded bathroom counter. - Assumed that the brush would be powerful enough to get light shoe marks off a linoleum floor. It's not. I get the same amount of cleanliness with a mop. - The built in sprayer is insufficient on a dry floor. I "pre wet" the floor with a watering can before vacuuming. - Very, very loud when in good operating condition. EDIT 10/25/25 Updated review from 1 star to 3 to reflect a few changes. The awful squeal and lack of pickup turned out to be a stuck float in the (empty) water tank. I am using the vacuum more regularly in my kitchen. It's not perfect, but is working well.

What a handy little thing. Pop off dirty water is easy and non splash. Just rinse and pop back on. Soap dispenser to pops right in and out. Light enough to hold upside down to spray off roller bar and vacuum suction area. My daughter recommended it. I now have a "floor" cleaning day. It cleans all sorts of surfaces with a flick of a switch. Even thin/low pile area rugs. And now I recommend it.

Excelente, pensé que era inalámbrica, pero la verdad me enamoré tiene el cable bastante largo, succiona todo, había comprado una de otro modelo y nada que ver, está me super encantó, está un poquito pesada pero facilita bastante la limpieza ❤️😎

Los productos bissell son muy recomendables. Lamentablemente la caja venia rota y el jabón qué viene de muestra estaba vacío.
