My old unit was four times smaller than this fogger and works just as good. I had loaned my old one out several times for Halloween. When I did that I didn't realize how long it was operating. He had a halloween party and then several days later used it again on Halloween. Two different years he used but on the last year it stopped working. He had the instruction booklet which was very legible reading size. He lost that also. Out of frustration since the mfg did not ever list the old unit so I could not get a replacement. So off to Amazon I got this new one and it worked fine. Problem is the mfg's instruction sheet was so small I could not ever read it. I placed on my copy machine and blew it up 250%. It very briefly told how to keep the machine clean and flush it out after each usage.The new one is a good little machine but the manual basically does not exist. The Remote cable could be a little longer. Longevity is unknown since I've only used once a few months ago.

I would recommend not buying these, search around different sites and you will find units that are 5 times better that only cost 2.5 times what this does. Unless you want to buy it for home use. It puts out enough to fill up a decent size room after about 3 waits. Yes you have to wait on it to warm up every 20 sec of use or so. It starts to spit a little fluid when it is almost too cold to run. If you just need it for a living room or bedroom, sure. If you need it for an event or outdoors, look to bigger units. This unit is SUPER SMALL. Small tank, small case, small heater. SMALL. If your looking for a bedroom fogger get this. If you want to put on a show of any size, get the correct unit. (Not necessarily name brand, just bigger) I think I will be returning all of these. I thought they would be up to par with other 400W units I have tired, not so much, but it is smaller and 20 bucks cheaper. If low output not a concern, I am sure you will have zero issues. Me however, I think I shell return them all.

The media could not be loaded.  I got this to test out my fireplace to make sure smoke was going where it should. This thing generates a nice amount of smoke and allowed me to diagnose my issue perfectly. I'm not sure what else I'll ever use this for but it saved me from calling in a professional who would've charged a lot more. For $30, I cannot complain at all. I can see where a wireless remote would be a nice addition, but for my needs this worked out great.

This unit is pretty basic and I've purchased it before for several applications, however er it only lasts about a year. The unit I just received only lasted a week and doesn't work anymore. I am sending it back and purchased another one. It's not vital enough in my application to buy one that's several hundreds of dollars so if I get a year from it I'm happy enough. Just be prepared if you want something to last this is not the unit for you

Flow and volume is good, build quality seems solid. After initial warm-up, cycle time seems to be about 50 seconds on, 50 seconds re-heat. Be aware that it sometimes enters re-heat phase without warning, which could leave you without smoke at just the wrong time if you're trying to use it for specific theater cues. That's the penalty for buying such an inexpensive unit. It's very good for general atmospheric treatment.

My son bought this and seems to love it. He is always fogging up our house! It produces a good amount of fog and seems durable. We haven't used it for extended amounts of time yet bc I'm always telling him to stop in the house! I think it will be fun for Halloween though!

It was larger than I expected so I was unable to use for what I purchased it for. I will be able to use at Halloween though so I am sure I will get my monies worth out of it.

It worked fine for my Halloween set up. Got a little hot towards the end of the night and wouldn’t kick on a few times because of that but, no big deal. I used froggys fog juice in it and it worked great.
