Ideal tool for some jobs
When you want to dress that dessert with a shaving of chocolate, or that salad with shreds of parmesan, or that soba salad with threads of daikon, you might want to reach for this tool. Sharp teeth shred your topping elegantly, and dishwasher-safeness takes it off your "high maintenance" list.What it does, it does well. But I have a small kitchen where every tool must do many jobs. As much as I like this, my box mandolin remains my tool of choice. It has more sizes of shred, and innately contains the shreds when I have lots of them to do - which is most of the time. I give this tool highest points for what it intends to do, but take a few off for all the different things I need done.-- wiredweird
