Great bang for your buck, good quality
Soffe's material workmanship is second-to-none. I really like these. Mine ran a little small, still fit but it did seem tight, that said I think it's fair to consider that for mass manufacturing, you're bound to get some stuff that's oversized and undersized--basic law of averages.I really like the quality of these, colors are simplistic and minimal. A couple design flaws hurt the overall product but for the price--I think they're gonna be a great set of workout shorts that last forever just like Soffe's other stuff. Two concerns:1. the draw strings are short and they are juxtaposed directly next to the velcro (hook & loop) material so expect rapid wear and the strings themselves seem like a fragile nylon2. for grappling, they don't have the exposed elastic/silicone lining that grips to the body to keep the shorts firmly in place, unlike more traditional grappling shortsFor the price, it's a non-issue for me. I'll keep 'em and use 'em for working out. I might even use 'em for rolling when I start again but I doubt it. Even for first time wear, I can feel them riding up a lot with just casual walking. Not a big deal for the quality vs. the price.

An excellent deal for comfort and functionality.
I'm getting back into fighting, and after a long search for something comfortable to wear, decided I'd take a chance and order the XT-46 shorts from Soffe here. The thing is, I have one of those stupid waist sizes. A size 30 is a tiny bit too tight for me, and a 31 is too loose (I guess I'm a 30.5). Still, I went with the medium size, hoping that the velcro waist and string on the inside would help me out if the shorts were too loose.Amazingly, they fit perfectly!I'm 5'11" and 155 lbs, and the shorts are just slightly above my knees. The material is a lot more comfortable than I was expecting too, similar to your average swimming trunks. The velcro waist and crotch ensures that the shorts will stay on you securely. I was a little thrown off by the string being on the inside, since I'm used to having it on the outside of my old gi pants, but it's great and was an extra help in making sure the shorts fit me. What I loved about these the most is the colored parts on the inside of each leg (whatever color option you get, mine were grey). These can stretch and make it easier to move if someone's got you by the leg of your shorts. It's very similar to what Hayabusa has on their combat shorts.Moving around, stretching, kicking and throwing knee attacks is a breeze. The shorts don't have any pockets or anything on the outside that could be used against you when rolling- they're strictly for MMA! There is, however, a tiny pocket inside on the right side of the waist for your keys. It's very small and closes with velcro. I've put my keys in there when jogging and didn't experience any discomfort. The only drawback is that these are incredibly baggy. They flow like a skirt kinda when you're walking around, so they may look kinda dumb if you wear them out and about. On the mat though, they get the job done.

Quadzilla CrossFitters Look No Further
I have had these shorts for about a year now. I thinks that an appropriate amount of time for a decent review. I came across these shorts while buying my daughters cheerleading shorts. I decides to buy them because of the price point. I had been spending $50 to $80 on shorts for CrossFit only to have my legs breakout the inseams during squat intensive WODs. If I bought the next size up I would spend a large portion of my WOD time pulling my pant up. I was about to say to hell with it and start working out in compression shorts only. These shorts were my last hope. When they arrived I was concerned about the strap that secures the front. The strap approximately 1.5" wide and very heavy duty hook and loop tape. In fact, all of the material is heavy duty, right down to the spandex expanding inseam. My concern was that the hook and loop tape would dig into my stomach during squats and TTB. With that in mind I tried them on and was pleased to see that the went on smoothly, and the hook and loop tape fit neatly together. I performed some air squats in the mirror and much to my excitement the the side cut allowed my quad and hip to flex freely. Any quadizillas out there will appreciate this feature. With my initial test complete I decided I would put these shorts through their paces at the following days WOD, The short performed far better at full speed than I expected. Squats, box jumps, TTB, and runs are never hindered. The durability is off the charts. My first and second pair are about a year old and still going strong. I am hard on stuff and these shorts take the punishment. I have since bought three more pair and have another pair in my cart for purchase as I write this. If you are a CrossFitter sick of spending big bucks on stuff that should matter, these are the shorts for you. If you have large quads that blow shorts out, look no further than these shorts.

Great Shorts for Crossfit, Smaller than Listed.
UPDATE: Just purchased my 4th pair of these shorts. Still love 'em. I've put each pair through about 25 WODs and they are holding up great. I would warn you that the white pair show dirt very easily, but it washes out just as easily.__________________________________ORIGINAL REVIEW:The Good: These are great shorts for crossfit. They are very flexible due to the slit in the legs and the stretchy material in the crotch and inner thigh. They seem to be constructed of durable materials, and the velcro closure with the inner tie lace keeps them tight and secure around the waste. You also cannot beat the price. The Bad: I would have given them 5 stars, but the sizing chart listed is incorrect. They are actually smaller than listed. The size large just barely fits me now since my waste size recently shrunk to 34 inches. When my waste was 36 inches, I could not wear these shorts... not even close. I would say the Large fits a 32 - 34" waste. The Indifferent: The inner tie lace is a little awkward to tie and I'm not sure if it's really needed, but it's there if you need it for an extra secure fit.

The sizing if off, XL fits like a medium
The product is ok quality which is fine as the price was good. The size chart is completely off. I'm a 40" waist in my pants. The XL said waist size 40" to 42" but they fit like a medium maybe a 32" to 34" waist. They fit smaller than any other MMA shorts I have purchased. You probably need to go 2 sized over what they suggest.

Would recommend going at least 2 sizes up
Products are well made but the sizes aren't really accurate for North Americans. Would recommend going at least 2 sizes up.
